Um, get a great video card, get a lot of RAM. That's basically the only
stuff you can do to increase your framerate. Maybe defrag and scandisk a
little? Mac's and PC's have some differences in the way they run.

Go read it.. it comes bundled at $200. It's not for gamers or people who
can't afford a computer, it's for computer hobbyists. You can already use
any monitory you have, or your TV.

You won't damage the TV.. as long as you use the certified hookups that come
with it. If you were worried about damaging your TV you shouldn't be
playing VCR/DVD movies with it, or using a game console to play games. :)
You can make your own games that use the PS2's technology.. that's a huge
plus. But if you don't want to invest $200 for something that'd cost well
over $500, don't. I was just posting it for those who were interested in
linux, but don't want to mess with their computers (or anyone else). It's a
great way to learn, then move onto something more serious. I'd want it just
to make some cool games :) that I can play on the PS2.. it'd be fun.

It's still cool to play around with though. :) Well if they become one in
the same, at least we won't have to buy $1000 worth the consoles to play all
the different types of games plus our computer games. A company should just
go out and make a console that just happens to play all. ;)

To download, but I support the linux companies and actually go out and buy
it on CDroms. It's better then downloading a gig of information. You're
not paying for the linux distro.. you're paying for all the hardware the
goes with it. An ethernet card, 40 gig hard drive, mouse, keyboard, 2 linux
DVD's.. that's a pretty good deal for all of that.. plus I like to play
around with things and I've got the money to spare. It's better then going
out and buying another computer then having to download linux and put it
on..:P

If you have outlook go to tools -> options -> maintainance -> then make sure

Well if you play MP3 it's of better quality then what you'll hear on a
radio.. most of the time anyways. But then there's always CD's, which
computers play quite well. (no need to buy a new system)

But wait, the world adopts the US culture. So if we do something to limit

LoL you can make them anyway you want, just layer chips if you need room,
sure it won't be tiny as hell but it'll be portable ;). Most of the size of
a computer is empty space, just build a frame that can hold all the parts
you need (might be heavy).
If we're talking about adding a monitor to it too that would require a lot
more work :)

Should be able to export to 3ds objects. Then you can convert to RWX with
one of the converters out there. Might be good for someone to get learn how
to make objects. It's a little hard to use but it's a lot easier to
minipulate things then some of the other modelers out there. Plus it's
free.. another plus.

If real life was like AW.
Entering a room could be dangerous.. everything slows down while you brain
processes everything and everyone there.
Certain things you can't look at unless you turn at an angle and look out at
the corner of your eye.
Other things you can look at but no matter how much you move around you're
always looking at the same part.
Gravity has no meaning.. if you're falling just simply press your belly
button and you'll stop dead.
While going down an incline you will float for 2 seconds each time you hit
the surface and move forward.
If you don't pay a renewal fee to the government, they come and force you to
wear stupid grey clothes and a camera.
Hope you don't have packet loss, going down the stairs could be deadly.
You'd start at the top then you'd be in the middle falling down. Or the
bathroom (let's not go there)..
When you enter a car you disappear inside it and feel like you're really the
car and you can strafe.
When you close one eye you can run the speed of sound.
If you plug your nose you can move through any surface you choose.
Images and posters look like snow on a TV until they appear when/if they
load.
There are phantom walls that you can feel and run into, but never see.
You can climb walls by shimmying side to side up them.
If the ground doesn't exist, there is no gravity and walking on surfaces
doesn't allow you to move up or down a fraction of an inch.. but you can
still move forward.
Occasionally when something is put on top of something else, you'll see a
flicker of their two surfaces merging.
If you're walking down the street and there are a lot of people present, be
prepared for a drop in blink rate.
If you're in an area with complex structures such as globes.. also be
prepared for a drop in blink rate.
You can only start a building if another house or object is nearby. This is
only allowed if it's authorized by the Government for use.
You also can't build even a fraction of an inch on your neighbor's property
or bring an object of your own to show. Even if they wanted you too. You
can only build if they give you a house key.
You can go under ground and look out a window and still see the sun and sky.
Things move in certain intervals. You can't place something on top of
something else.. but it'll be really close.
You mistakenly put your hand through your forehead and it magically fuses
back together when you remove it.
If you want to dance, you can only do the egyptian and the macarena.
If you stand still for too long you involuntarily start bending forward and
looking down at your feet or putting your hand through your head.
Pieces of buildings appear as black triangles until they've loaded.. or
"Shit Happens" will appear above your head and Ananas will freak out and
say, "The world is coming to an end!"
You can only tell who a person is after they talk, and then their name
hovers above their head in case you forget.
Glass of smaller objects will mask glass of larger objects. Glass usually
has a huge black border around it.
You can color in entire building pieces with one crayon.
If you push something it'll continue spinning until you kick it to stop.
If you open a door you're the only one who sees it open.. everyone else
see's you walk through it.

You're missing the codec, what's the movie? (something tells me it's DivX
that you need)

Me too. It seems when you try to resize that list tab at the side, on some
rare occasion, it'll do that. It's happened to me about 4 times this week
:).

I hope it's an open beta. I'm sick of waiting while all you poor saps with
2.5 GHz machines and all the same uber video cards beta test. Jeez, get
some people with crap machines to actually test for the problems/bigs...
less "minor" fixes could be averted like those in 3.2.
Not much of a beta test when all you're doing is giving the beta to the
close buddies of the staff.
