keep in mind you only need the pc to write the code on then you upload it to the oopic(serial or parallel interface) and it runs the code....programmable in BASIC, JAVA, or C. And you can directly plug RC Servos into the oopic. I've modified a couple(4 to be exact) to be continuous rotation. They work great for robotic drive motors...

I tend to look at it more optimistically.....AW hasn't even started yet. and IMO it's good that they have not cause they are still working on the platform for which that success must survive.......start-ups are a bitch.....timing is everything.

hey there Rick
Just seems odd to lose all that valuable data.

ps; IMHO if there not now using it your developers along with a "tight" team of BETA testers should be using an online "WIKI" for all development communications. Wiki's Rule!

SWE;
If I'm not mistaken he was talking about his NAME.
And with reference to 9-11 - "BIN LADEN IS A SUSPECT IN
OTHER TERRORIST ATTACKS THROUGHOUT THE WORLD."
Hajj is what THEY call him......like The Director....The Prince......The Emir....
Sheesh SWE you like to argue with people don't ya? .....way before you totally absorb something.
It's like you do not like it when someone else (especially an educated American) is correct.
Get rid of that grudge your holding onto.....hehehehe

Sic 'em Facter!!!!!
I don't understand why these "newb"'s always want to change AW AW is AW and should always remain AW if ya want something new.....pick a new world this is only one world in the bucket of many...and as Facter says it's history! Leave history alone and stop trying to change it! move on to "better worlds" if you so bored with Alpha.
Take care Buddy

you do know what the word "Alpha" means?......The first one; the beginning..... leave it as the first world....to be looked at and marveled at....it's 10 years old.....sheeesh just move on and create a new more robust world for marketing this is history.....and should be left alone for others to see how things started. How dare you call our history "shit"....learn from it...... that's what it's there for.

I could agree with this if any changes made will NOT alter any existing builds. but that's never been the case.
and remember we can always change the entry point....so leave as is and have new people enter at a NEW GZ coords with a new look leaving the old one as is for historical reasons. and leave ALL current builds as-is.

Your mixing up Active Worlds with Alpha World
Leave Alpha World alone..... just don't go there....send your tech savvy friends to a new world to show off the technology leave our history alone!
Moving on to better pastures does not mean you have to destroy or alter your old pastures.
