hey, just wondering, anyone here interested in robotics? wanna start a
robotics world, was thinking like a robot wars type game, and some amature
robotics tutorials and guides to electronic engineering, and emm, tools, and
stuff like that. Just started trying to build robots, and find it very
interested, and the course i'm taking in university (stating in about 20
days) is pretty much the same, well, guess that doens't have anything to do
with anything, but just wanna start a world with tutorials on robotics, and
emm, a game, and where people can show thier own projects and how they did
it and all, sorta a robotics community i guess ^_^ so, anyone interested in
helping? :)
oh, and got to making a little robot wars typa objects in the world
Robotics (just a trial homepage right now), not much there yet though.

keep in mind you only need the pc to write the code on then you upload it to the oopic(serial or parallel interface) and it runs the code....programmable in BASIC, JAVA, or C. And you can directly plug RC Servos into the oopic. I've modified a couple(4 to be exact) to be continuous rotation. They work great for robotic drive motors...

ya, thats why it's so great! ^_^ the microcontroller programmer kit thing i
was gonna buy was like £150, which was abit pricey. least this whole kit is
like half the price(the kit with the book and cd that is, not the one with
the resistors, and LEDs, etc aswell)! microcontrollers themself might be
abit more expensive, but they are worth it ^_^

oh ya, interested in writing about your projects and all for the world? :)
well, soon as i get a world, don't wanna start anything too big in the
trial, till i get a world (well, till i go back to england, put money in my
account, then figure out how to pay aw with through paypal).
don't have to write much, just about you're projects, and anything special
about em (if you wanna) and how you did certain things :)

oh, and ya'll can also download the avs and objects i have in the world
Robotics. currently only have 3 avatars, and a few objects, but they are
kinda pretty! well, to download them will have to get it directly from the
op (www.swehli.com/robotics/op) but will zip all the files together, and
upload them, tomorrow, gotta goto sleep now. Well, feel free to download the
objects and avatars and seqs! or use the op if you really wanna (it's almost
empty though). well, just letting ya'll know!

oh, and come visit robotics even if you don't wanna download the
objects! i want visitors ^_^
