There's still money :) it's just not used for in-federation uses.
Everything is provided for you by the Federation because there's no other
Earth country. But you have limits.. replicator limits, consumption limits
on certain goods, etc. That wouldn't go over too well with the rich people
in the world, since they lose the most :) I'd like to see it happen too.

In my opinion that's a bad thing.. I use 3rd person to build with.. and to
explorer better.. because I can't always see where something is for obvious
reasons.. color match being one of them :) It'd be a huge disadvantage..
like someone taping your eyes closed while you walk.. on the other hand if
you have a maze world.. you can stop people from cheating easily :) by
putting another layer up above the top of the maze so they can't see in..
that's the only reason I could think for wanting to turn it off :)

OR! an option that you can click to have it check for updates.. say you
change it.. just click it and the browser checks to see if it is.. then
downloads a new one? :)

This only works for 3.2.. the other versions don't respond to that. And
there still is a lot of people on 2.2, 3.1, and a couple of 3.0ers in the

Some real life weather would be cool..
Density fog.. (more dense in some areas then in others.. instead of inside
buildings it could be around it)..
Snow.. little snowflakes come down until they cover the gound.. you could
specifiy how much snow cover you want..
Rain.. comes down.. maybe even puddles of water if there's some hilly areas
:).
Evaporation rate for the rain/snow.. Choose a rate.. 0 it doesn't evaporate
100 it evaporates as soon as it hits the ground..
Cloud cover.. a lot or a little. (would have to tie into the rain/snow)
Maybe in the future if they do this some Ice.. for the puddles that freeze
over since they don't evaporate if you change the weather to snow. Or a
calendar.. you can set up weather on a monthly basis.. maybe longer :)..
Just adding these featuers along with the "landscape" feature would improve
AW beyond belief. Tell me what you think of all this :)
--Bowen--
Dec 25, 2001, 2:42am
That'd be cool.. maybe have the browser set up to display fog.. but not near
objects.. it could be done most likely :) A lot of these are easily
implemented if you give like a couple of months to it.

The browser can be written to detect objects much like it can detect them
now with the cell space. Just detect a model.. don't put snow around it..
maybe unless there's a command for "create snow land" so it could land on
it.

Actually renderware supports particles :). Gamecube shows this quite well
with Star Fox (has density fog and clouds). As for the time it'd take to
implement.. if you focused on it, it'd probably take a month or two.. but
it'd be well worth it and add quite a lot to the realism with the 3d
landscapes :)

It was one of the textures that AW has on a skybox. Nothing too special.
:) What would be cool is if they masked it. Then you wouldn't notice it's
really a skybox as much.

Well I was messing with fog settings today.. I seemed to notice that if you

dissappear until you face away from it.
Possibly is anyone else getting this problem?

How about fixing the rotation command in rwx scripts. Would be nice, not

3d homepages are identicle to any other world out there (and oddly,
identicle to 25%+ of the other worlds in the same theme). Just they're all

I'd like to thank the academy.. and all those little people that've helped
support me through rough times!! :)
Now no one can hide behind the "you're using a different name" stuff when
those flames start flying :).. no one has to read this but if you are..

Well... I listen.. but do I care? No. Oh, that's another wish. :)
Filmkr would stop being so childish? Actually admitting he's wrong would
also be a great step forward too.

Or maybe an option to set a little portion of the awbrowser size into a
telegram outbox so you don't have a little pop up window (that stays on
top). Or just change it from staying on top to having a little task bar
inside the browser so you can select things.
