Hi everyone:

I think if there's something ActiveWorlds ABSOLUTELY needs (especially for
the contemporary themed worlds), that is a world timeline which floats
according either to the time of day at the world owner's geographical
location or (even simpler) one that floats according to VRT. In other
words, when it's 1:00 A.M. VRT, it's actually DARK outside (with some homes
lit of course) and when it's 1:00 P.M. VRT, the sun is up and smiling like
it does now.

Is there some TECHNICAL reason why this hasn't already been included??? If
so, I'd like to hear what it is.

Are any of you AW genuises (sp?) who ACTUALLY WORK there reading this???

there's some bots that can do it.. look around I'm sure they'll pop up if
you ask :)

I don't think that you are serious with that.
If you cannot use bots, how do you make a backup
of the world?

3d homepages are identicle to any other world out there (and oddly,
identicle to 25%+ of the other worlds in the same theme). Just they're all
prefabricated so it's easier for you. Give yourself bot rights, find the
bot, set it all up, and I believe it should work fine then.

3DHPs are like any other worlds, except that the AWC built the world for
you. Bad idea, you learn a LOT more by building it yourself... You can use
bots in your 3DHP as much as you want to, just give yourself bot rights, and
find a bot :-))

I didn't even know there were bots for sale in at Mart, you can get some free
at very many places, just go looking for links (I posted some in my reply to
you in general.discussion) :-))

I'd like that myself. For a design point of view, some interesting
things can be done with shadows.

the 3d homepages aren't designed as a time-saving tool... it's just so new
users can have a world, up and built the day they get it.. of course as the
citizen gets more knowledge their going to tweak the world and build it
themselves.. 3d homepages is just a convenience..
