How about the avatar.dat not being cached at all so it will update
itself more? Kinda gets old havign to tell everyone to do it. bowenDec 23, 2001, 2:39am

The avatars date could be part of the world options, so only
the world owner would be responsible for update or not update. [View Quote] -- "_ | /\ \ / __/ /_ dotar sojatDec 23, 2001, 4:40am

Just set your worlds object refresh to 1 this way after you change the
avatar.dat anyone that comes in will auto update without any need for a cache dump, just keep it at 1 for about a week after you edit it. [View Quote] bowenDec 23, 2001, 1:02pm
This only works for 3.2.. the other versions don't respond to that. And
there still is a lot of people on 2.2, 3.1, and a couple of 3.0ers in the group. --Bowen-- [View Quote] kahDec 23, 2001, 3:50pm
AW 3.x seems to look for an update, but does not bother to redownload if the
size hasn't changed by more than 1kb or so... KAH [View Quote] dotar sojatDec 23, 2001, 10:23pm
I know about doing that, but for alot of hosts doing that causes the
bandwidth to double and triple. Been warned about it by various OP hosts I have used. Some of them get so touchy afterall when it comes to bandwidth.
