Disabling HTML in Outlook Express 5/6

Jul 16, 2001, 5:59pm
Then they need to find a better isp or not get on the internet at all if it's
that much of an exspense for them. No one forces anyone to come on the net and
no one forces anyone to open anything they don't want to open. You can clearly
see how much k a post is before you download it. I'm sorry if this sounds
insensitive, but there are things they can do if they don't want to be charged
more to download more. I don't think we need to be responsible for their
happiness or their ability or inability to access the internet without being
charged more. They just need to find a better isp. It's the same reason why I
don't use AOL. There are choices in this world. We want our choice to use html.

All you people posting in HTML with Outlook...

Jul 15, 2001, 1:35pm
Well I have all these updates installed now that are critical updates that I am
frequently notified about and d/l to correct such problems.

Security Update, May 24, 2001 (Internet Explorer 5.5 Service Pack 1)
2129 KB/ Download Time: 12 min
This update resolves several security vulnerabilities in Internet Explorer 5.5
Service Pack 1 (SP1), and is discussed in Microsoft Security Bulletins MS01-015
and MS01-027. It also includes a previously released update, which is discussed
in Microsoft Security Bulletin MS01-020. Download now to eliminate multiple
certificate validation vulnerabilities and to prevent a malicious Web site
operator from running programs on your computer via HTML Help (.chm) files, and
executable e-mail attachments, and to prevent malicious Web site operators from
making it appear that the content from his or her Web site actually originated
from another site, even a trusted or secure Web site. Read this first Already
Installed
Security Update, May 30, 2001
920 KB/ Download Time: 5 min
This update addresses three security vulnerabilities in Windows Media Player
6.4, and is discussed in Microsoft Security Bulletin MS01-029. Download now to
prevent a malicious user from running code of his or her choice, or reading
files on your computer. This update also prevents a privacy vulnerability that
could allow a malicious set of Web site operators to differentiate you from
other Web site visitors using profiling. Read this first Already Installed
Security Update, April 2, 2001
124 KB/ Download Time: < 1 min
This update resolves the "Erroneous VeriSign-Issued Digital Certificates Pose
Spoofing Hazard" security vulnerability, and is discussed in Microsoft Security
Bulletin MS01-017. Download now to prevent an unauthorized user from running
code on your computer by digitally signing programs as "Microsoft Corporation".
Read this first Already Installed
Windows Share Level Password Update
209 KB/ Download Time: 1 min
This update resolves the "Windows Share Level Password" vulnerability in Windows
98 and Windows 98 Second Edition. If a computer that is linked to a network has
File and Print Sharing enabled, and has at least one password-protected folder
shared, it may be possible for a user on the network to gain unauthorized access
to the folder. This vulnerability exists because of the way the password feature
of share level access is implemented for computers running Windows 98. A
malicious user can exploit this vulnerability and use a special client utility
to gain access to a share without knowing the entire password, and may be able
to retrieve, modify, or delete any file within that share. Download now to
prevent unauthorized access to files that are shared over a network that uses
share level security. Read this first Already Installed
Security Update, May 19, 2000
192 KB/ Download Time: 1 min
This update resolves the "IP Fragment Reassembly" security vulnerability in
Windows 98 and Windows 98 Second Edition (SE), and is discussed in Microsoft
Security Bulletin MS00-029. Read this first Already Installed
Security Update, March 17, 2000
222 KB/ Download Time: 1 min
This update eliminates the "DOS Device in Path Name" security vulnerability
found in Windows 98 and Windows 98 Second Edition, and is discussed in Microsoft
Security Bulletin MS00-017. Download now to prevent a malicious user from
causing your computer to crash by accessing a file or folder with a path that
contains certain reserved words. Read this first Already Installed
Security Update, January 17, 2000
818 KB/ Download Time: 4 min
This update eliminates the "Malformed RTF Control Word" vulnerability, and is
discussed in Microsoft Security Bulletin MS00-005. Download now to prevent a
malicious user from sending a specially malformed e-mail and crashing your
e-mail service. Read this first Already Installed
Security Update 1, November 29, 1999
196 KB/ Download Time: 1 min
This update eliminates the "Spoofed Route Pointer" and "Fragmented IGMP Packet"
vulnerabilities in Microsoft Windows 98. Download now to prevent a malicious
user from using source routing to obtain network information through your
Windows 98 computer, and to protect your computer's performance when it
encounters fragmented data packets. Read this first Already Installed
Security Update, November 12, 1999
169 KB/ Download Time: < 1 min
This update eliminates the "File Access URL" vulnerability in Windows 95, and is
discussed in Microsoft Security Bulletin MS99-049. Download now to prevent a
malicious user or Web site operator from exploiting the vulnerability to run
arbitrary code or cause your computer to crash. Read this first Already
Installed
Security Update, September 9, 1999
146 KB/ Download Time: < 1 min
This update eliminates a vulnerability in the Telnet client that ships as part
of Windows 98, and is discussed in Microsoft Security Bulletin MS00-033. The
vulnerability can allow a Web site operator to take malicious action on a
visiting user's computer. For example, this Web page could be configured to
create, delete or modify files, reformat the hard drive, or send data to or from
a Web page. Read this first

This is also another update available that I d/led today.

Root Certificates Update
175 KB/ Download Time: 1 min
This item updates the list root certificates on your computer to the latest list
that is accepted by Microsoft as part of the Microsoft Root Certificate Program.
Adding additional root certificates to your computer enables a greater range of
secure Web browsing, secure e-mail, and secure code delivery applications to
work seamlessly. This update includes root certificates from Verisign, Thawte,
and Post.Trust in Ireland. Read this first Already Installed

with this bug is about the same chance I have in being killed in a car accident,
or winning the lottery maybe, lol

AW's Idiot-ness

Aug 10, 2001, 7:46pm
There you go using someone to compare you or someone else to, please stop doing
that, LOL
Now the whole intention of the new AWSome world is to get the youngest of users
to go there because AWTeen doesn't seem to be a G rated world for those let's
say under the age of 13, but it is good they are welcoming those under the age
of 18, but I don't think they should be excluding anyone either. I spoke to one
of the AK's that works there and they don't seem to like alot of the rules being
put in place there, that may very well be one of them.
I understand the need for a place like this for AW's youngest citizens but if I
want to go in there I should not feel like I am going to be punished for doing
so, lol Many times when I am in AW I get people of ALL ages that come to me and
ask for my help, wether it be for bldg. or teaching or whatever the case may be.
I would hate to think I couldn't do that if someone asked for my help and I
needed to go there to help them or to simply talk to a friend at GZ that may
happen to be there, afterall I am 33, will be 34 Sept. 8th, lol
I think they should simply put that it is a world for young people and leave it
at that. The adult presence of course will always need to be there in case there
are any problems that arise it can be dealt with. But I don't think they should
be excluding people that may want to go and just visit the world to see it by
saying, 18 or under only are allowed in this world. It's just not right, lol
That would be like AWTeen trying to do the same thing, sheesh I wouldn't be able
to promote the AWTeen Cy Awards Party or anything, none of it would have been
possible if a rule like this was implemented. So I think they should reconsider
using such a blanketed apporoach to encourage our younger AW members to build
there.
There are adults in this community that very much have the concerns and cares to
what's going on with the young people and having safe places to go to, but don't
shut us out, we do have alot to offer and much to teach the young people just
starting out in AW.

young of heart, or accompanied by a child to enter. :-) To learn more about

[View Quote]

Hello All :)

Aug 13, 2001, 7:07pm
Well I hope everyone that attended the Cy Awards Ball had a great time, I know I
did and had alot of fun with the people I know here in the NGs and in AW as
well. I was there for the entire thing, 8 and a 1/2 hours playing midis on
stage. LOL
I know you probably only get to see my occasional gripe or advertisement of an
event or just comments on something I might want to talk about in here. But you
don't really know me as a person. My friends in AW do and I am as honest and
respectful to them as I try to be to everyone here. I can have fun and do, I can
be a teacher and do, I can be a friend and do. Sure I may not be that great in
everyones opinion, but I do try to do what's best and do the right thing and
hope that it all works out well in the end. There are some people I can
reconcile with and others I don't think I can ever repair the damge they have
done and may not be able to simply because they continue to do the same stupid
things and actions towards not only me but other people as well. I can't let
something like that befirend me only to be hurt over and over again, it's just
not something I can do. So as much as there are going to be people in here who
think what I say is a bunch of crap, I do try to make sense of it all and bring
things to the attention of the community that I feel needs a good hard look at.
I expect there are going to be people that are going to disagree with me, I can
accept that, but when it comes to down right cursing and swearing and
profanities being yelled at me, I see absolutely no point in it, it solves
nothing and only works to breakdown the communication of this NG.
I persoanlly want to thank Facter for resolving one of these recent problems
here in the NGs and say to each and everyone of you that no matter how
desperately you feel about something or where you are from or whatever your
opinions are, what effects me or anyone else in this NG does effect all of us
wether we like it or not.
Just seeing an attack on another person upsets me when it's done in the way I
have mentioned above. I am my own person and I have my own feelings and what I
believe to be right or wrong. Doesn't mean I am right, but it does mean that I
am entitled to that belief, whatever it may be and I don't need to be abusive to
people for no reason unless they deserve it and you know the way I do things, I
will post the facts and let you read them for yourself, if anything I am always
in search of the truth, that is more important to me than anything, that and
being the best person I can be. Certainly no one here can say I haven't tried to
do that. If I didn't give a crap about anyone or anything but myself I certainly
wouldn't have got up on that stage and played midis for everyone for 8 and 1/2
hours and I certainly wouldn't be doing any planning and organizing for the
AWTeen Cy Awards Party :)

Thanx for reading and I will see
you all at the Cy's, Chucks Party :)

My Beliefs (I'm bored)

Aug 14, 2001, 8:01pm
Well I do believe in all of that as well, but the bible is a history book of
sorts is all and man has found a way to manipulate it into something that it's
not. But I also believe there are good and bad forces always at work on the
spiritual side that do influence us and we invite them into our lives by the
things we do here on Earth. I also believe there is a creator, if you want to
call it God then that's what it is. The biggest problem we have on this Earth is
getting thru it hopefully to have learned something that will take us to the
next level, whatever that may be. As far as the destruction of the Earth, it
wouldn't be the first time, lol

[View Quote]

My Beliefs (I'm bored)

Aug 17, 2001, 12:28pm
[View Quote] Yes and according to Christian belief we have only been here for 7,000 years,
LOL Too bad we actually have proof of being here for over 500,000 years now, LOL
I think that's a long enough time to actually evolve into what we are today. So
you're right, how much more will we evolove in another 500,000 years. Alot more
I would say. As far as aliens, maybe there are some that have been in existance
twice as long as we have, think we could achieve what they are supposedly able
to do in another 500,000 years, I think so. Could they be visiting us now, very
possibly, I've seen a U.F.O. I still can't explain it, I believe they are here
now and have been here for a very long time now.

Bill Gates' Mansion...

Aug 16, 2001, 7:14pm
Yes I live here and there certainly are alot of geese, I don't think people have
the right to destroy them, but they can be a nuscense, I think the geese were
here first tho, we should put up with the crap and let the geese be. LOL They
are quite magnificent birds tho, I love to see them when they migrate here from
Canada. I'd hate to see the day that would ever end, what a shame it would be.

[View Quote]

Stupid Schools...

Aug 17, 2001, 3:56pm
Yes that's about the size of it, Highschool really is nothing but 4 years in
social and sports education, lol I found the longer I stayed in highschool the
dumber I got, lol That's when in the middle of my junior year I decided to get
my GED and get the hell out before they made me completely stupid, lol I
graduated 6 months before my class with a 3.8 GPA. I was extremely bored in
highschool and learned absolutely nothing in the 2 1/2 years I was there. In GED
class I could ask the teacher questions and had alot more 1 on 1 help than I
ever did in highschool. Also I only went to school 3 days a week for 3 hours a
day and learned more in that 1 year than I did in the whole 2 1/2 years of
highschool. So all I can say is get out, get your GED and go to college. Staying
in highschool only works to weed out the people that are truly intelligent
because they get so bored because there is nothing to learn. I have seen it
happen time and time again that the sports people take all the praise in school
and the academiclly skilled people get nothing and are shut out because they
aren't interested in sports or trying to be the epitome of some kind of social
order. If you want to be a stupid immature dork, stay in highschool, lol It's a
sad state of affairs and I don't think it's changed much since I went to
highschool 16 years ago now. I still see people graduating who can't spell, do
math, or do any of the skills that you really need to get thru life.
Unfortunately I think the rules are still the same, they won't let you get a GED
until you are 16 then you can make the choice if that's what you want to do. I
still can't believe they require you to take American History in highschool.
What a waste of time that is, that's all I ever studied in middle school, when I
sat down in the class and opened the book I said holy shit, this is the same
crap I learned 6 years ago, LOL Needless to say I was bored to death in that
class on top of the fact my teacher was an alcoholic and came to school half lit
everyday, lol *sighs* Just glad I got out when I did, lol

Aug 22, 2001, 7:31pm
Now you know why I keep kah blocked, like DUH, lol But as far as a court of law
goes, it makes it alot easier if you have your works registered with the
Government, especially when you are talking about a business or company, then it
makes it easier to win a court battle, but everything that's made by you is
instantly copyrighted, it's up to you to prove it is an original tho and is why
people will put © or the entire word copyright on their works, it then actually
shows that the person wants the copyright to be in effect.

These crop formations have been throughly investigated and were not there one
day and there the next, these are brand new photos and they are also working on
obtaining the security camera images that surround the radio tower you see in
this picture to get more clues, we shall see. But I don't think anyone could
make the ones that they are now showing us with the method you described in a 16
hour period of time which is basically the time they would have to do it if the
people that worked there left work at 5pm and came back at 9am the next day to
find them. You say why would aliens do it, I say why would people waste the time
to do it, lolol OK if you thought those were interesting, here are some that
appeared over this past winter on ice too thin to walk on, another one of the
many unexplained mysteries of these circle formations

Aug 26, 2001, 5:55pm
GK you watch Star Trek don't you? What is the prime directive? I'll tell, it
goes something like, they are not allowed to interfere with us or our
development but to let us evolve natuarally, correct. So you say why would they
make crop circles, they make crop circles because crop circles are biodegradable
or the melt in the case of the ones in the ice and do not do anything to change
the prime directive. That being interfereing in our natural evolution. They are
able to say, hey we are here without hurting the prime directive, and you think
they just got here or something, they have been here watching us all along,
learning about their own past I imagine by watching ours. You assume so much, I
have actually seen a UFO, have you? Well if you haven't you will never know the
impact it has on changing your whole outlook on believing we are not alone here
and what I just told you is 100% correct.

[View Quote]

We have received the answer to Arecibo

Aug 26, 2001, 9:15pm
Well all I can say is, we shall see, lol Unless you have seen a UFO you don't
know. I was skeptical somewhat too before I actually saw one. It was a sphere,
it moved in a perfectly straight line and glowed purple on a perfectly clear
summer nite. It was very far away but I don't think it was further away than the
moon, but it was very far from Earth. I have never seen anything like it before
or since. If you saw how fast this thing was going and the fact that it was a
perfect sphere with no tail at all you would believe too, trust me, lol But
until then all I can say is, keep looking up :) Oh and 1 more thing I find
fascinating is why the government blacks out reports of UFO sightings and
information they have aquired, why are they unwilling to give us the truth and
act like there is some kind of coverup going on. If there was really nothing
there what would they have to hide then?
