The SDK (and AW internally) represents every coordinates in centimeter.
One cell is 1000 cm x 1000 cm (10 meters x 10 meters).
Elevation is displayed in the status bar in meters though.
Angle's internal representation is 1/10th of a degree (0 - 3600)

I wouldn't say reinventing the wheel but don't name your bot Yet Another Survey Build Bot (YASBB http://www.andras.net/yasb.html ):)
IMHO having the same functionality made by different programmer brings healthy competition to the field.
I wrote such a bot but I'm sure the user interface could be made much better, so go for it!

YASBB version 3.2.1 is ready for testing.
During the 3.6<->4.1 conversion I left a few things ignored, made a lots of new bugs, etc :)
I hope this version will handle the terrain properly!

V3.2.1.71 - V4 world
- Fixed several terrain related bug due to the 4.1 conversion.
- Added a few terrain texture editing feature.
- The program can read 3.6 and 4.1 terrain versions properly.

P.S. The original post did NOT ask changing in the world AW but have a bot which can change background, noises, etc. There is a weather bot which does almost all except a designated "ambient sound" object modifications. I never scripted a Xelagot but I think it is a trivial excercize :)

The main concept of the bot is a remote plug-in for the SERVER and not for the browser.
How do you think to make the bot as a plug-in to the browser when the browser is not online 24/7?
What if the bot needs much faster connection than your browser?

At this moment only aw_query() comes to my mind which has a 120m radius but fortunately the new SDK has the aw_query5() which is 200m like all other events.
Some events doesn't have scene related to like aw_login() or AW_WORLD_DISCONNECT.

In the past, the cit/bot ejected based on IP address. If you did run the bot on the same machine you were ejected too. With the new server sw the ejection based on IP, CIT# and Computer ID. Any one of them is matching you are ejected - so even a bot running on a diferent machine can cause you to be ejected.

Be careful with texture settings in the SDK or in the elevdump file! If you set it to 63 (or any rotates of it) will crash the browser immediatelly.

Universe URL should be auth.activeworlds.com while the Universe Name is something for you to display on the title bar (I use AW for ActiveWorlds, DLP for DreamlandPark, etc)

Privilege pass field is not encrypted! - all the transaction goes through a non-secured connection (it even goes to paypal!)
Too many popup windows to kill.
There is no info what kind of connection do you have.
There is no info what machine(s) do you use to run the service, what OS do you support and what kind of access the bot owner have to that machine.

Sorry - this is not a service I would consider to use.
