I think this is the part Brant wanted to point out:
Virtual worlds have produced some surreal rags-to-riches stories. When the
on-line world Second Life launched, the players were impressed to see a
female avatar industriously building a sprawling monster home. An in-game
neighbour stopped by to say hello only to discover she was a homeless person
in British Columbia, logging on using her single remaining possession, a
laptop. Penniless in the real world, she belonged to a social elite in the
fake one.
Not all social inequities are absent, of course. For instance, Castronova
discovered that women in the game are worth less than men, in a very
measurable way: when he compared the sale of male and female avatars, he
found than female characters sold for 10 percent less than male ones at
precisely the same power level. Players with female avatars also say it's
harder to advance in the game, at least initially - even though the female
characters are often being played, in real life, by men. (A study by the
game academic Nick Yee found that male players "cross-dress" as female
characters at least one-third of the time.) Men play as women characters
partly for the kinky thrill, but also because female characters are given
random presents of free stuff by other players, a chivalric custom known as
"gifting." "Personally, you receive a lot more stuff when you start out as a
female," as one male cross-dresser wrote to Yee.

Go tell it to someone who gives a damn qrv, because I sure as hell don't.
You're so naive it makes me wonder sometimes. I only get involved in
situations where jerks like you and seiya are randomly harassing people (in
seiya's case, subtly so close minded people like you think it's a decent
individual). When I commented in your post with Elyk, it was because you
were being a hypocritical jackass to him for absolutely NO reason. Excuse me
for defending a friend, I find that more acceptable then someone like you,
defending someone like Seiya, simply out of ignorance.

You are a very special breed of imbecile. If you dislike the US so much,
save yourself the stress and don't use AW-a program from the United States.
It's honestly not rocket science, and you're obviously debating a losing
argument here considering the majority of people here are from countries
backing the "War on Terrorism". Perhaps if you made a valid argument instead
of throwing out uneducated insults regarding a matter you are quite ignorant
on, people would take you a bit more seriously. I find it quite funny how
you seem to think americans have total control over the decisions our
government makes. I don't personally support the war, in fact, neither do a
lot of my friends in the army, but whatcha gonna do? I live about an hour
from dearborn michigan, which mind you, has the most arab americans in the
United States living there. Do they agree 9/11 was good? some do. But they
don't take their opinions out on the people of this country or spread their
hate. Why? because it does not involve them. They are not being attacked
because they are arabs, and neither is their family where the war is going
on. If you are not a terrorist, you have little to worry about. In fact, I
think you're a jackass right now, but you don't see me telling people you're
evil and should be killed. So unless your home is being bombed and the
United States has personally affected your life for the worse, I suggest you
shut the fuck up and remove your head from your ass. You bitch about how the
US has had slaves and all this crap, and descriminated against groups of
people, then become a hypocrite by descriminating against americans because
of what the US did throughout history, which mind you, is hardly any
different from what other countries have done. You just single out the US
because it currently is considered one of if not the most powerful country
in the world, which is pretty fucking ignorant of you.
And FYI the US is not "worthless", in fact many countries rely on the United
States for trade or humanitarian acts. You may want to get an education
before spouting off BS on a newsgroup.

The US didn't "steal" any languages, the US was settled by the brits, who
what a concept, spoke english! my gosh, I'm surprised they don't have that
in british history books :O Either that or you simply chose to disregard
that to create your petty argument. The same can be said for the
pronunciation of "your" language. if you're going to create a lanuage, at
least pronounce it how you claim it should be pronounced, and don't use the
excuse of "its pronounced funny because of our accents, but we created the
language so we dont have accents and so our accents make it correct". No, no
it is not correct. There are rules to the english language, and 80% of the
time, your accents (yes you do have accents-accents which contradict how
your words are supposed to be pronounced when YOUR country created the rules
for your language) completely disregard that. We may botch the spelling for
a few words here in the US but for the most part, the way americans
pronounce words in the english language is correct. Hell even people from
England will agree other brits have accents you can hardly understand based
on where they live. Don't try to tell me not being able to understand
someone speaking the same language as you is correct simply because theyre
from england, because thats a joke. Now please, all you brits come leave me
hate messages.

Also, FYI, Seiya is STILL preying on children (such an incident happend just
hours ago in fact), it is NOT exaggerated. The person who bought into seiyas
lies was someone who had no idea regarding Seiya's past. So if you want to
encourage others to be victimized, go right ahead. As far as I'm concerned,

What's idiotic is it ejects any bot with the name Seekerbot, even if it's
just an X1. And I agree it's pretty stupid to ban seekerbots. there may be a
property search, but who really wants to scroll through pages and pages of
objects? The only good side to banning them that I can see, is that it

"What does my lack of spell checking have to do with this? By soften up I
mean dont go out of your way to make every insult you can! ha ha."
By "illiterate" I was referring to the numerous times I have essentially
told you to go to hell, which have yet to sink in. It's something I call
"being able to read". I don't have to "go out of my way" at all, in fact
it's really quite easy when dealing with someone as superficial as yourself.
So as much as I hate Ashley, and consider her dumb as hell, that's nothing
compared to your arrogance ;)

If that's a violation of your "freedom of speech", why don't you complain
about worlds that disable speech altoghether? Or the customs aide that
ejects for other vulgar language? I don't see the point in banning those
sites with the customs aide for the simple fact that even if you're ejected,
it will still be seen anyways, and is pretty much pointless, however I don't
see how it infringes on your freedom of speech either, especially in a 3d
chat-this isn't a country, it's a program. If you want to tell people about
There or Secondlife, there's always the whisper function and telegrams.

Hu,
If you "aren't concerned" about these *lies* you made up regarding Rossy,
then why the hell are you trying so hard to use them against him? You're a
total hypocrite and you seem to miss the fact that everyone is in awe at
your absolute stupidity on the matter. If AW is "just a game" and "no more
important than your monopoly set", perhaps you should get the fuck out? In
fact, do everyone a favor and cancel your internet service while you're at
it-I'm sure it would spare other unfortunate individuals who would otherwise
have to deal with your bullshit in the future.
The past few weeks you've infested the newsgroups with your rants that
nobody gives a shit about, harassed nearly everyone under the sun with petty
insults regarding anything from George Bush to your penis, and generally
made a complete ass out of yourself. It's literally mind numbing having to
scroll past 50 of your melodramatic/childish posts every time I click a damn
topic.
Any sane individual would have quit while they were ahead, but you just keep
opening your mouth to put your little two cents in. You have single handedly
made the newsgroups suck. Want to know how you can fix this? Keep all your
"witty" come backs, all your "concerns" and all your "thoughts" to yourself,
dumbass. You seem to consider it an accomplishment that people hate you. You
really aren't worth hating, you're just damn annoying. But go ahead and
pride yourself on that. The vast majority of people reading your posts are
more than likely laughing hysterically at how incredibly thick you are.

I must say I found AWCamp to be quite an offensive expierience this year. In
particular due to judging descrimination. One judge, King Brian K, attempted
to disqualify my fort (fort1) by claiming I was over 30 years old, formerly
"bree2u", from Florida, and someone he knew in person. None of this was even
remotely true-In fact, it can even be verified by AWI, as Bree2u is the
caretaker of AWSome world (her new name is EvIIredhead). Anyone who knows me
knows I am not from florida, but Michigan. I have numerous photos where I
obviously, do not look 30. But I suppose despite all the evidence that I was
not "bree2u" they would rather remain ignorant. It was no surprise that our
fort won nothing whatsoever. When I emailed the camp administrators regarding
this matter, offering to provide proof of age as well as logs and the
sorts-my email was ignored, to no surprise. This happened last year as
well-Our fort got nothing whatsoever despite both times being very well done
compared to the forts with zbuffer and the like. The judging is absolutely
laughable. You shouldn't judge a fort based on the people in it, that's not
the purpose.
What also sickens me is the type of people they have in charge of AWCamp.
Most of the people in charge are GKs and in a few rare instances, goreans.
Most GKs don't know jack about changing world features, bots, or even
general AW knowledge. One of our fort's counselors, didn't even know what
the hell Zbuffering was. The other counselor was Seiya-that alone tells you
something. Why they would allow someone like Seiya or goreans around
children is absolutely beyond me. No offense to goreans but when you have
kids asking a counselor why they have a "slave name", I'd say that crosses
the line a bit.
It's also pretty sad when the campers have to explain to the counselors what
to do-ie setting up world features and terrain. Almost every event that
required a bot was messed up. If you don't know how to use the bots for the
activities, why try? All it does is waste peoples time. The paintball events
all went to hell. It's pointless even trying to attempt to participate in
the events when they aren't done correctly-It makes more sense to try to
build up your fort to win, instead of waiting around for an hour until the
person in charge of the event finally gets it together. Of course even if
you build up a nice fort, it is doomed to lose if the people in charge have
a "thing" against you, no matter how well done it is. Same goes for the
scrap book contests. But what can you expect when the judges are chosen
simply because they are friends of the people in charge?
The prizes that are offered are also absolutely useless to most people as
well. Why would anyone want a *new* 3 month citizenship when they already
have one? All that benefits are the tourists who get temporary citizenships
to participate in awcamp-it gives them a chance to win one. For the existing
citizens, it'd make more sense to offer citizenship extensions. I also find
it a bit strange that the winners were not announced publicly. Instead it
was up to the campers to figure out who won. I assume they were expecting
people to be psychic and know which day to check their website for the
updates, as this was never announced.
When telegrammed, "Lady Trishia o" never responded. When emailed, they never
responded. I'm wondering what the hell it takes to get it across to them.
I'm not upset that my fort lost. I'm upset as to why we lost and how a lot
of people were treated during AWCamp. All it is now is a waste of time and
the only real contest I see, is how well you can kiss their ass. I've been
more than polite on this issue in the past, and I would have thought if they
had any decency they would have at least replied to my efforts to contact
them, but I guess not.

Telegram from Lady Trishia o, sent 7 minutes ago:
biased because YOU didn't win? we used judges that were in no way connected
to awcamp, and we didn't speak to them till after they toured the forts and
made their decisions, you can e-mail mountainmyst at activeworlds.com
unfortanly since the judging is done this way so there is no discrimination.
The fact that counselors don't know those things is irrelvent. Counsleors
are not required to. If they were we would have to cancel camp completly.
Also this is the first i've heard of anything regarding your age.
^The above telegram was sent from Trishia out of the blue. I'm assuming she
read my newsgroup post here and got fairly annoyed.
1. I never claimed the judges were associated with AWCamp. I simply stated
that one of them was biased.
2. The fact that the counselors can't even do what they volunteered to do is
VERY relevant. They *should* be required to know certain things if those
things are needed for the activities. Trishia replied to this saying "if we
required them to we wounldn't have any [counselors]". Well I'd rather have
no AWCamp at all then an overly biased poorly run disorganized popularity
contest :)
3. This post was not the first time she had heard rumors regarding my age. I
emailed her and telegrammed her regarding it, both of which did not get a
response. Way to be caught in a lie, Trishia :)
When confronted with these concerns I was told by "Lady Trishia o" to "go
whine somewhere else". I'm just expressing my views on your incredibly poor
leadership skills, I fail to see how that is so wrong when they are so
truthful. Seeing as you chose to block me, I have decided to take your
advice to "whine somewhere else" and post your comments on the newsgroups :)
