Note the lack of a "generation.discussion" newsgroup. This "community" newsgroup is about the AW (that's "Active Worlds") community, not the US president Bush or whatever else you want to talk about NOT related to AW.

The only conspiracy is that the US media will not show the truth of what is
really going on in Iraq, the babies that are being dismembered and the civilians that are dying daily at the hands and guns of US troops who are as pissed off with the meaningless BLOOD for OIL war that Bush and his cronies are waging against an innocent civilian population. And you might say, 'but what about the terrorists that have evolved in Iraq since the war?' - I ask you - if a foreign government came here to the US to liberate you from Bush how would you react, and, if that government stayed long after liberation and intimidated innocent civilians as the US is doing today in Iraq, you would just lie down and take it? Huh. Grow up - the Iraqi people are just doing what anyone would do if their way of life, country, natural recourses were threatened and attacked. You can insult me all you like but the last laugh is on the foolish US people for allowing this war and a media that is so biased that people in the UK, Australia, and the rest of the world actually know more about troops activities and civilian casualties than do the American people themselves and they are already laughing their ass off at the ignorance of it. political, but I do agree with some of the things you said. Yes, a great portion of the the major U.S. media needs an overhaul. Every time I watch someone on the Fox News Channel say it is "fair and balanced" or reports "real journalism" I can't help but chuckle a bit. However, if you understand what you are watching, reading, or listening to has a bias in the first place, it helps. Fox News seems to be more conservative, CNN a bit more moderate or liberal, etc. I watch BBC News sometimes, I listen to shortwave radio, I read articles from foreign news organizations, I watch some documentaries, etc. What I'd really like is a news organization that could report just the facts and no opinions or commentary. If people knew the hard facts about things like the 9/11 terrorist attack, it might change their mind about things. And what of an Iraqi butcher dictator? You should have seen the thousands
of ecstatic Iraqi refugees living in our city dancing in the streets when he was taken out. The tears of joy to be able to return to Iraq to see family and friends because it would be safe for them to do so. Do you want to hear of the abuse, tortures, and murders these same families faced and fled? This is not the "biased" news media but what we saw and heard first hand on the streets and every day from our Iraqi-American neighbors.
