glitter kitty,
"If you do not address this issue then you will always mark this years awards as questionable." The Cys will not "take sides" in a dispute. "I accept without question that you are working very hard and I am grateful for that." My comment was that the Selection Team will be working very hard giving thier time to vote fairly. "However I ask, as a member of the community you claim to represent, you address this issue and not just sweep it under the carpet." Nothing regarding the Cys is simply "swept under the carpet" sweetie:) "Please recognise that some of us feel strongly on this issue, and while it is past, it still is not forgotten." "some".....majority votes prevail. "Consider for the moment a politician. If he is found to be corrupt or particularly offensive to a large group then he is typically stood aside until everyone is happy again or the problem is resolved. Imagine for a moment how we questioned the french and russian skating judges at the winter olympics ... if they had been allowed to continue then every points award from then on would lack credibility and we'd all never really know who was really the best. This is the same sort of thing." No...it is in no way similar. "Please ask him to demonstrate some credibility and step down." We will NOT do that based on a scenario that the Cys are not involved in. Anyone in favour of Insanity being removed from the commitee please say Aye! Attempting to do a fair voting process with only the use of this newsgroup to get the word out, is totally unfair and ridiculous. As I mentioned before, the Selection team was chosen by the Community thru a fair voting and nominating process. That attempt to have him removed will not even be considered. From this point forward I will not reply to your concerns regarding this matter. Sincerely, AlphaBit Phalpha Cy Nominations Officially Open!Jun 24, 2002, 2:46am
Ok glitter kitty,
You continued to gram me even after I requested you don't and warned you I would block your grams, which I did:) Dang I love that feature! Anyways.....one very important gram I would like to copy and paste in here to prove my point. Actually I only need to quote you on 6 words in that gram. "I have no fight with insanity" After the above post, I rest my case:) Cy Nominations Officially Open!Jun 24, 2002, 10:16am
Hi Eric:)
Sorry this whole mess had to involve you. Thank you for statements in your post here. They are true , however there is no way to convince closed minds. It seems the bitterness that exists in this scenario will just continue, while attempting to pull the Cy Awards in with it. Once again, we will not let that happen. As much as I "personally" would love to have a go at this thread, since I represent the Cy Awards, I will have to bite my lip....ouch!:) I will ask that this thread have no effect on the upcoming voting process, when the Community places their votes. I don't think people realize that negativity like this effects ALL involved. Thanks again:) Bit:) Cy Awards Fashion ShowJun 24, 2002, 10:49am

Dear litter kitty,
We have a secure system that is confidential. I will say though, that you are welcome to ask any previous nominators about how they are approched in your scenario you presented here. Personally, I prefer to spend my time in this playground in a positive way. And trust people and their honesty. I am now formally requesting that you stop attacking the Cy Awards with false accusations. Thank you, Bit:) Cy Awards Nomination StatusJun 26, 2002, 3:24pm

Yes Goober King,
These are nominations so that people will be on the list for the Selection Committee to select for the Community voting. And to limit to citizens only. In the past we allowed tourists to vote, but because some worlds don't allow tourists, it wouldn't work anymore. We will however have tourists allowed in Cyawards world for the events:) WitchHunts... Thank you all for your nominations:)
We are missing some information and would like to ask for your help please. If you can please review the list located at http://www.awcommunity.org/cyawards/100502noms.html , and email me at alphabit at swbell.net it would be greatly appreciated! The page is huge, so please wait for download. We will also be emailing those that placed nominations. Please furnish me with the category they are listed under, and any pertinent information. We are looking for corrections, World Owner and Citizen names, coordinates, urls, etc., as they pertain. This may cause a revision to the Cy calendar, but we need to hold passing them onto the Selection Committee until we have all missing information. Congratulations to all The Nominees and good luck to all of you! Sincerely, AlphaBit Phalpha POWERJul 3, 2002, 1:39am

I think the only way you could logically restrict males from a world is if
you named it "Ladys Showers" or something. But then there would be a ton of male "ejections"....LOL Sabatical :)Jul 7, 2002, 7:22pm
Dear Activeworlds Community,
Starting today I will be taking a sabatical from the Cy Awards responsibilities. I hope to be back next year for the 2003 Awards:) I have taken this time to finally build again in AW (I have never found the time in the past to even build my own home there!...LOL). I will also be working on the new theatre and world in cyawards world, along with some of you:)We will be using the current world design for this coming awards ceremony. I have relenquished my duties back to AWCorp, and I should have a contact for you shortly. Until then all questions and comments can be directed to cyawards at awcommunity.org please:) Thank you as always for your great support of your Cy Awards:) Cya at the Cys! If you need a free program that is excellent for small tasks Irfanview is
the way to go:) To make a 2 bit mask all you do is, 1. Open your graphic. 2. Click on "Image" and drop to "Decrease color depth". 3. Click on "2 color (black/white). 4. Save as jpg. It also does a whole lot more, plus you can download plugins for it that do some nice things to existing graphics. http://www.irfanview.com/ I've been using it for over 5 years now :) Hope this helps!
