That's my point.
Some parents might get upset if their child visited an adult rated world, and then someone could end up in that ugly world of sue happy people. It is just way to risky to take chances these days. Bottom line though is that organizations and families need to be responsible for our children. <snip> Hopefully Some Useful InformationMay 28, 2006, 11:24am
Hi Everyone:)
I am not sure how many of you out there are familiar with a couple of web sites that have been very useful to me. On is a place where you can post to get rid of stuff for others to use and also post things that you need or want. The other is a place where you can do the same but also sell and buy things. They each have links to major cities. They are totally free to join and very much worth the effort. www.craigslist.com is the buy and sell site. www.freecycle.org is the recycling of old things site. So far I have been able to clean out closets without filling the landfills with junk while helping others out. Here is a list of a few things I have acquired in the past year; A pretty king size waterbed A decent desktop pc for my daughter About 5 complete sheet sets in new condition An espresso coffee maker combo A bread maker Lamps Craft and sewing supplies A day/trundle bed 2 hutches A hutch that we transformed into an entertainment center for the bedroom A very nice tv stand Another entertainment center Shelves On of those tables you set by the dining room table to hold extra food to serve A smoker An aquarium Many vhs movies A lot of home decor misc. Freecyle is a great way to help the environment and other people and they have been on major news stations also. You want to read all the rules for safety measures to take also. I posted this after seeing CoLor's mention of having an older computer. Maybe she can get a faster one through one of the above sites. Also, if you sign up with them you might want to forward posts to your email so that you can be one of the first to see them and respond quickly because the stuff goes fast. Enjoy:) Bit Hopefully Some Useful InformationMay 28, 2006, 2:41pm

Hi ya'll,
Ok, I now have my Granddaughter who is 13 in Activeworlds. So far there is a JustaBit Phalpha (her aunt), LilBit Phalpha (her mother), LilAlpha Phalpha (her virtual uncle), Young Phalpha (another virtual uncle) and of course me. We are looking for some name that has Bit and Phalpha in it for her. The Bit means female and The Alpha means male. Young is an exception to all of it...lol She didn't care for ItsyBit Phalpha or WaitaBit Phalpha...lol Any ideas?:) Naming The GranddaughterJun 13, 2006, 10:06pm

Thank you everyone for the great suggestions and help!:)
She finally settled on aLiLBitaPhaLpha submitted by IHNK, woooohoooo! I know...it's a "bit" long...lol...we will call her Lil for short:) Thank you again for all the help as all of you in this wonderful community always do:) Huggggs! Bit:) The CYs are here!!!Jun 22, 2006, 1:46am
Ok...time to make a list of what to do for the big night;
1. Buy a gown...I think I will do the D'Vior black western gown with the diamond studded heal shoes. 2. Rent a tux for King Tex...his should be western style also to make us look like a pair:) 3. Reserve a limo...hmmm...purple...black...purple...black...purple! 4. Take aLiLBitaPhalpha for fittings for her gown...something not too revealing for a young lady:) 5. Find a cute lil purse to match my dress...maybe something gold and glitzy! 6. Make sure to put my dance card in my purse...hmmm first dance with King Tex...who shall be next?:) 7. Find a sitter for our kittys Tigger and Harley...I better get a cage for them so they don't kill the sitter...lol 8. Make an appointment with my stylist for my Granddaughter and myself...I wonder if she got in the purple hair dye yet... 9. Well...I am sure I will come up with a number nine before then:) [View Quote] The CYs are here!!!Jun 22, 2006, 11:38am
No worries about a ride...the limo seats 20 quite comfortably. And I would
never leave my little darlins behind:) Thanks for looking after Young Phalpha. Your little brother tends to get so wrapped up in technical stuff in here, he sometimes loses track of things:) I called for the seats, unfortunately they have limited space:( Did you an Yo invite a date for the show and ball afterwards? I am sooo indecisive of what gown I want to wear. Mauz always wears one that is sooo elegant. Maybe I will ask her where she shops...hmmmm. By the way...watch out for Strike Rapier, rumor has it he was the one that spiked the punch last time...lol [View Quote] The CYs are here!!!Jun 22, 2006, 12:41pm
I'm not sure how that personal avatar thingy works yet. Great idea though:)

I think the issue here is the past posts of who posted it.
When a person is a negative on most issues of an organization, then perhaps when they do post something humorous, it feels like another "jab". I felt it over the seven years of doing the Cys many times by a small handful of disgruntled citizens. So I can speak from experience. I also found it "cute" when I first saw it. And something that if ever there is a celebrity "roast", it would be a great addition:) Great work last night Cy Team, even with all the technical difficulties. I look forward to the Cys again this coming Saturday:) cy bonerJun 30, 2006, 11:38am
Dear Community,
I vote that we just let Lady Tigrane and Goshenta discuss this between themselves please. It's way too close to the ceremony to exert any more energy on this topic imho. Thanks:) Bit:) [View Quote] Question for sweetsJun 25, 2006, 6:08pm
Hi sweets:)
I realize that you are upset about the X rated worlds not being allowed to participate in the Cys. I have a couple of questions in that regard for you, that I will hopefully be enlightened as to how it would help to include those worlds. 1. If an x rated world were nominated, how would you keep the under aged citizens from visiting your world? 2. If an x rated world was nominated, how could the votes be just, if under aged citizens were not allowed to see the world to make their voting choices? 3. What evidence could you produce that showed that no under aged citizens had attempted to visit an x rated world? 4. Have you or are you willing to do some statistics with signed petitions to show the concern from all x rated world owners? 5. Do you have any suggestions to what could be done to protect anyone involved in the Cys from a possible lawsuit from an angry parent? 6. Do you have a lawyer that is willing to put their signature on a legal document that would protect anyone involved in the Cys and AWI? These are questions that could help in the future plan of the Cys possibly and I am only posting them to see if you have any suggestions. Question for sweetsJun 25, 2006, 10:45pm
Hey Maki:)
That isn't the point here now is it?:) If they visit them anyways, then the Cys are not responsible in any way are they? That question has nothing to do with my intent. So I won't even attempt to answer it. [View Quote] Question for sweetsJun 25, 2006, 11:36pm
Hehehe...I don't think that a fire is necessary:)
It isn't up to me what the Cys do anymore other than my interest of any AW citizen. And my questions weren't stupid if they generate ideas to solve problems:) The disclaimer idea was a good one, and one that could be followed up on if certain parties are interested. Thanks JerMe, you may have made a great contribution to this entire fiasco:) [View Quote] MY AwardJul 5, 2006, 11:48am
