Thank you both, it seems my problem was adding his cit to the main startup
screen ... got that fixed, although I do see on the page that the second
owner may not have all the rights of the first. Thanks again...

Also I can't seem to have the bot accept more than one owner in the
Ownership block thing, I uncheck that (Bot / Ownership Block / Release &
Unblock) and tell it to allow but when I log the bot off she goes back into
block mode not allowing more owners ... not sure why it's doing that. Anyway
it seems my hubby can tell them what to do now so I did get that fixed, not
sure how that area of Ownership Block works or why it's reverting back to
Block 2nd Ownership even though I've unchecked that. Or do I need to allow
second ownership? Are you saying that hubby is 1st owner as long as his cit
is beside mine in the main login screen?

Thanks Alex, I did actually figure the extra cit number part by reading your
pages. Just not sure if this makes him 1st owner as I or if he's considered
a second owner. And, not sure if he's a second owner why that section I
mentioned in the prev post won't allow me to allow 2nd owners. I don't care
really, as long as my husband gets the same rights I do it matters not to me
how to get that ... I just want to understand how to get him the same rights
I have.

Well not entirely sure that's a good idea, because even worlds that allow
bots might not want bots to identify every object on their path right?

What would rock is to have a bot tell you which avatars, models, seqs,
sounds and textures you are actually using verses what is on your op ... boy
could I do some OP cleaning with something like that! I bet my op has
waaaaaaaaaaaaay more on it that I actually use considering it started out as
a megapath op and I don't use alot of the megapath objects, etc, in it.

Not that I'm aware of but if someone takes on this challenge maybe they
could do one that searches your op and presents you with a list of unused
objects, textures, avatars, seqs and sounds ... because I'm pretty sure alot
of us have stuff on our ops that we aren't using! Would be great to have a
bot that could list those so we could go in and delete all that unused
*wasted space*. I know my op started with megapath and I'm pretty sure I
don't use the majority of those objects, etc ... how much space could be
saved on my op if only I knew which were save to delete!? Better yet, with
that list a count of how many of this object, that object, etc, listed in
order of either object name or by number count used in world ... that way
you could just go to the zeros and start deleting! LOL And yes, I know about
registries but that's not the same thing. Just an idea...

As you may know from posts in other areas of this NG, I'm looking for a new
web host to host at least three domains each with their own IPs. The
question here is what exactly do I need in a host to run my X1 bots from one
of my domains? In other words I'm looking for a web host that will allow me
to run my bots from one of my domains but I have no idea how to do that. So
while host shopping, what exactly am I looking for that will allow me to do
that? The host I'm leaning toward has the following in a package I'm
interested in...
3 Domains / 3 IPs / 30 Subdomains (can register 2 domains for free with this
package)
Web Space = 3,000 MB / Monthly Bandwidth Usage: 100 GB
Unlimited Email / FTP and has Webmail
Databases & Scripts: 10 MySQL / 10 PgSQL plus CGI / PERL / PHP / etc
File Manager / Shell / Control Panel / Stats
These are the most important to me but they do have many other features &
plans. Cost is $119.40/yr (frozen) with a $20.00 setup fee that can be
waived. So far this seems to suit my *other needs* as each of my domains is
completely different.
So with all the above in mind, what if anything there says I can u/l and run
bot programs? Shell? What do I need to ask the host to be sure I can run my
bots or other *chat* servers from one of my domains? Thanks in advance :o}

Thanks guys ...
I thought it had to be Linux to control from a *remote location* ... in
other words to start / stop it I thought it had to be Linux? I think this
host offers Windoze too, what would I need to do to run a bot in Win then?
What do I need to ask the host?

Yes I've referred others to you. But I'm looking for a host that can host my
3 unrelated domains, and my world OP allowing for x1 bots to run from there
also, in which I have complete control. My request is not just aw related.
I'd want three IPs for the diff domains, etc. I'm looking for a host that
has been around for at least 5 years and would cost me no more than about
150. / yr (maximum). I already have a few in mind (as stated in previous NG
threads) but was wondering how to squeeze in the bot hosting bit LOL.
Perhaps it's a no can do. Thanks for the offer anyway TheMask.

Right now my three unrelated domains are on different hosts, if they can be
managed by me on different hosts with different IPs I can't see why one host
can't handle all three. Not sure I understand but if bots for aw is the
complicating factor for getting domains hosted from one host with each
having their own IP then I guess I'll skip bot hosting for now, I mean skip
looking for a host that provides this so that I have total control. I run
them from my computer now but when it acts up they go poof :o/
Thanks for your input guys...

I'm looking for a web host that will serve all of my domains, which as I
said vary immensely. I see no point in having two or three hosts when one
should do it. As for bots, I was just wondering what it would take to run
them from whichever host I choose, it's no biggy, no crisis if I don't find
one that will do all I want. I've found one that will serve my web needs and
that's what is important. I was just wondering what was required or needed
in order to get my bots working from the web instead of from my computer ...
having them run on my computer takes up resources I could well use otherwise
and my computer is not so stable lately. I've been experiencing screen
freezes &/or blackouts and sometimes the graphics just goes funky; mouse
freezes ... both forcing me to turn the computer off and then back on which
then sometimes it just won't boot up at all, all I get is bios beeps for
which I can't identify which beep code is sounding. The computer is only two
years old. It's up to date on all virus & trojan / ad aware scanners ...
that is not the issue. I think it's a graphics card or something going.
Anyway that's another story but is why I'm looking to host say 6 bots online
.... where better to do that than my own webspace if it can be done?
Thanks....

I have three fans and a fan monitor that tells me which fans are on and what
the temp is. It's not overheating. But I did find out that from the BIOS
beep codes I get when the thing won't reboot the it's a Video Adapter
failure or bad RAM :o/ Which I interpret to mean I have to attempt to reseat
the video card, and if that doesn't work I'll have to replace it &/or it's
RAM.

I can't just disregard it, the screen often goes black and I hafta reboot by
powering off/on. That's when I get the bios beeps and it won't boot up at
all until I try and try and try and finally it'll boot. I'll either have to
reseat the video card or I'll be forced to get new RAM / video card. I'm not
lookin forward to either. I haven't looked recently but if I recall it has
it's own RAM stick on the video card with 128 MB of memory. I just wish I
could tell which it is as the bios beeps indicate it's *either* the RAM for
the video card or the video adapter (which I assume is the card itself) :o/
