I'd love to see some extensive tutorials on the web, or even AW classes, on
how to make a humanoid avatar from scratch. Step by step. Or, have names of
people willing to teach this monumental task to those interested!

Yes I found those sites! Robbie's looks great and I've d/l the zipped
tutorial! I'm excited to be attempting these 3D avs and hope I become as
good as some of those that are well established. I think I'll start of by
editing some freebies first, then attempt to make my own thereafter, wish me
luck LOL. Thank you all!

The ability to wear avs I prefer, or make, in any world I frequent ... as
opposed to wearing avs only allowed by the world itself. I know, can send em
a private or two, still would prefer to wear ones I've chosen.

I belong to two 2D chats (the palace, and the manor) ... both have the
ability to make your own avs and wear them no matter what server you are on.
This is great because the avs are stored in your computer, and you make em
or trade em. When you put the av on, no matter the server you are visiting,
the server grabs the av and puts it in it's cache folder in a hidden, non
accessible area. Pretty neat really.

The other main thing I think 2D has over 3D so far is the chat bubbles
differ according to what you type. You can have thought bubbles, BRB
bubbles, sticky bubbles or regular chat bubbles. Thought bubbles begin with
a color ( :your thoughts), spiked (sticky) balloons start with an !, and BRB
balloons start with a ^.

Now mind you these are two different chat types yes, but I do think
different kinds of balloons to express oneself is neat LOL. I've grown
accustom to them and miss them in 3D. Other than that, AW rocks for me so
far!

I'd love to see in aw where every object lists who created it. That way if
you have an object you aren't sure you should have ... you know who to
contact to ask about it! I think this would maybe reduce object/avatar theft
since the creator's name would be virtually stamped on every ob/av they
make. Probably impossible tho.

1) Sit / Sleep seqs that stay in those positions until you move your avatar,
or click a Reset button

2) A noise alert (not via a bot) that lets the world owner know they have
company, one you can turn on or off to suit your liking

3) A cache or some way to signify you are a world owner (or staff) so you
don't have to keep redownloading your own world

4) A way within the AW browser to change the time of day (not via a bot),
and as someone else pointed out ... according to the natural movement of the
sun

Obviously your cache would refresh only those things added or changed.

I would love to hear a *log on* sound whenever someone logs into my world
within my vacinity, or even globally ... aside from bots ... and have that
sound so that the world owner can turn it on or off at their own discretion.
Some like to be notified by sound, some don't ... I'm one that likes that.

Something I see in *another chat* is that you can hope in a dune buggy and
drive it around, hope on a hoverboard and hover around, more realistic to
have vehicles to get around in LOL.

More ideas ...

When you select an object to move it up or down, or side to side, have in
the object box it's coords and altitude. That way if I want to move an
object from -45 to 0 I can tell right in the object box how much higher I
have to go. In other words, have the object box show as I'm raising object
where it is in altitude (same as you see with your avatar when you fly up,
down or go side to side)!

It would be nice to have avatars *gravitate* to the object they are standing
on. For instance, I have a floating dock in my sea. When I stand on it the
dock goes up and down but my av does not. I would be nice if would could
sync avs to objects so when I walk from solid ground to a floating dock, I
float in sync with the dock.

I'd like to see the browser LOG all incoming and outgoing grams, if you have
the *log chat* feature checked. Use of an external program, although
currently necessary and appreciated, shouldn't have to be.

Something similar was happening to me on build 522, I couldn't select multi
objects and copy them at all. I installed 524 and it seems to be fine now.
Some of us thought perhaps a file had gotten corrupt in 522 and since I
installed 524 to another directory the problem seems to be fixed. Not sure
if this is what you were experiencing tho...

AWI ... what is so hard about pw protecting an op? Is there no way to
protect items we've paid for? I would think this would be your #1 priority
no? I mean the truth is, I already *paid for stuff* and am using it, I've
done my part by attempting to pw protect them but truly it's the
model/object creators that are getting burned here isn't it? Can't you do
something about it?

OPs...
User OPs where you could store and wear your own avs (instead of only those
in a world)


OBJECTS...
When an object or multi-objects are selected the browser displays the obj
names and their
current coords ... and if you were to move them have it show the coords in
movement!

Have pix/signs/objects, etc, only visible to certain people in a world ...
if you own or
operate it I mean.


AVATARS...
AVs part of tabs window so you can scroll through all avs no matter your
screen res!

Sound IN avatars.dat file ... you bend over it puts out an errrrm ... sound

Spoken Commands (seqs) instead of/with buttons ~ or symbols in front of
words (Ex: /sit /lay
:thought balloon ^sticky balloon (for brb) !Spike balloon) etc.

AV side view ... being able to see the side of the av, not just back / front
views


TELEPORTS...
The ability to *say* where you want to be teleported to, instead of finding
a teleport and
clicking or passing through it. Type it in like teleport aeon

Timed Teleports (set it to zap you off on a certain date / time) to a
pre-programmed place.


MISC...
Put the MISC folder somewhere else, not in the cache, because when you
delete the cache you loose that folder!

Expired cits *flag* in the contacts list! Or some way to decipher cits have
expired.

Schedule keeper with pop-up reminders of AW *things to do*.


CONTACTS...
Sortable contacts or lists tab, or the ability to have different contacts in
different lists
for different purposes. For instance, it would be nice for us b'day builders
to be able to
have a contact list of other b'day builders, without having to add everyone
to our main list
for which we'd have no other reason to contact each other. Or perhaps have a
list sortable
by worlds for instance (like I met you at this world along with five others,
and those at
that world, etc). Some way to sort contacts like we can do in text IMs.


BROWSER...
STOP downloads if desired! AND to be able to choose if you want the browser
to use float or
always use a set visibility!

Be able to check a box for either Male or Female tourist av before you enter
awgate or other
tourist worlds ... so ya don't come in as a guy cause that's the first av on
the list, when
yer not a guy! Do it right at the sign-in screen when you click Tourist
button.

Have the browser auto-update the av dat file so when changes are made they
are d/l and
replace the old av dat.

Instead of AFK icon on toolbar, why not have a drop down menu with a few
other choices like:
AFK BRB BBL Doggy Run FOOD POTTY CHORES PHONE IMs <add yours here>

Those *mysterious mirrors* for which you speak ROCK! But the idea for
personal avs came from 2D chats in which we make our own avs from any
graphics anywhere, I know this probably can't be done in aw but to have my
own avs would be preferable to me. I do intend to make (model) my own at
some point. From where you speak, I don't really like those avs LOL, kinda
big, bulky ... not really sure how to describe em. But also, I didn't know
you could *make your own avs* there either. Alot to learn still I guess LOL.
There is yet another 3D chat that you can make clothing for males or females
.... they have a standard body and you can either buy or make clothing, etc.
It's expensive to make them tho, you actually have to pay them to submit
your designs ... I don't care for that idea. But to have a couple standard
bodies and to *make outfits* for them, that would rock too! Rambles...

Could be done with a bot if ya use em. I have a friend that did a script for
me that when the bot is on and a certain person enters my world it plays a
wav file for anyone nearby LOL ... pretty fun actually!

Great idea except some of us already have a world, or two, or three... they
need to offer extended cits for a year for such as you have suggested, or
hosting, or whatever else they can offer. They should also advertize more.
Techtv.com would be a great place to start I think, if those folks like it,
it may end up getting advertized on their tv programs ... such was a very
popular 2D chat a couple of years ago.
