hi,would anybody be able to make a bot that can go through the models list
of a op and load each of the objects? lady nighthawkJun 23, 2004, 2:55pm
Well not entirely sure that's a good idea, because even worlds that allow
bots might not want bots to identify every object on their path right? LNH -- [View Quote] adalexJun 23, 2004, 5:23pm
well this for a world that im staff in so it can go through all of hte
objects and find objects with errors in them and to load all of the objects into cache [View Quote] karten.Jun 23, 2004, 5:58pm
A bot can do that if it is given the models list.
A bot cannot make that list itself though as it cannot read the directly of the OP that way. On the other hand, there is a method of creating an Object Yard from a generated Object Redistry, then load that to a world by bot. Either way, the Object Registry or listing is needed before a bot can do anything. [View Quote] themaskJun 23, 2004, 7:15pm
Actually Tony M made me a bot that goes threw an object list you give it, so
I could clean up my OP a little. Unfortunately, I can't find a link. I'll talk to Tony to see if he still has a copy. -- Signed, TheMask :: Owner of Delusional-Minds Hosting :: Free world hosting.. Just a T-Gram will do it. http://www.delusional-minds.com lady nighthawkJun 24, 2004, 6:01am
What would rock is to have a bot tell you which avatars, models, seqs,
sounds and textures you are actually using verses what is on your op ... boy could I do some OP cleaning with something like that! I bet my op has waaaaaaaaaaaaay more on it that I actually use considering it started out as a megapath op and I don't use alot of the megapath objects, etc, in it. Use at your own risk. I make no guarantee, or offer any support for this bot. [View Quote] |
