Money does talk O_O
i doubt there is a single business out there that could make enough money by
normal consumers only, not including food stores, and other common house
hold products.
Most companies try going for goverment/military and big business contracts
mainly, anything that consumers get from it is usually just a by product.
there are obviosuly a few exceptions though...
Well fact is, thats not always such a bad thing.

thats probably because Apple makes most of it's money from selling ipods
(according to Forbes, they anouced selling 14 million ipods in the last
quater), so if they upset thier normal users, they're screwed.
Also, not too certain, but i doubt many businesses, other then CG firms and
movie production houses, really have much use for apples. You could buy an
apple server, but would you really want to?
Now on the other hand, anyone notice how Microsoft are focusing less and
less on Windows, and more and more on other big business software?

Just a note, according to what i remember hearing/reading, actually, at the
begining, AW was free, and that was what they were trying to do, but
apparently, they had a goal of getting a million users before a certain
time, for them to be able to run AW at a profit from advertisment alone, but
they didn't reach thier goal (not even close) so thats when they started
charging for cits.
Personally, in my opinion, AW doesn't have very good advertisement potential
anyway. I mean, how many times have you actually clicked on one of those
adverts in AW or AWGate GZ?
Online advertisement is only useful if you are forced to see it all the
time, which in AW your not.

ya, i'm also 19, and though my sheet isn't as impressive as Dabean's :P you
cannot classify me as a kid. ok, i might still live off of pocket money, but
doesn't make one a child. You stop being a child when you are able to make
responsible decisions.
And on another note, never seen a 18,19 year old wearing a corset for like a
wedding or prom? :) and in england, you can gamle at 18!
And lastly, not sure about you, but children imfluencing parents on business
decisions seams a little strange?
I know my dad isn;t banking at NatWest because of me, on the contray, i use
AMEX because of him.

emm, sexual orientation has nothing to do with genetics/DNA or chemicals or

emm, thats one theory..
another though, is that it is psycological, and i think that makes more
sense.
Though geneitcs can make one more likely to become gay then others, at the
end, sexual orientation is psycological.
Attraction as a whole is psycological, though you will pyshically react to
attraction, there is no gene in your body which dictates wheter you prefer
blondes, brunettes or redheds, tall or short, skinny or plum, B or DD cup,
it's all psycological.
If it were genetic, then how come you have people turning gay at old age?
some people come out when they're 40, 50, 60 or even 70. if it were genetic,
wouldn't they have never been attracted to woman to begin with?
I don't doubt that genetics may have a little to do with it, but i
personally still believe it is almost all psycological.

well, i choose to believe that homosexuality is NOT something you are born

Not saying there is anything wrong with being gay, just don't act like you

Well, just, don't give up or anything, but as equin0x said, you really are
going no where. If you are serious about this, then if you are basing
everything on AW, your screwed at the end of the day. Instead, try this, go
and get a job, save up money, and when you have enough, then start your
business, register a company and all that, shouldn't be more then $100 for
all the paper work for a private limited company anyway, will need some one
else though, 2 people to register i think it is...
Anyway, then, create soemthing that people who have never been to AW will
find interesting and useful. Be creative, anything at all, as long as it's
useful. Then, look around for companies and try getting them to buy it.
Oh before that though, take a tutorial or 2 on business writing, have to
sound professional.
Just my opinion, but if you concentrate on AW, you're screwed.
I don't mean to put down Murasaki, or Starheart, because thier work is
great, and my guess is this is more of a hobby for them, then a business,
but $10000, you could do better then that. Now a days, $10,000 could give
you a great month of clubbing, and not much else. In london atleast, and in
the clubs i goto.
And don't forget, in thier case, they make everything themselfs, so don't
have to pay anyone else. you'll end up with quite a few expenses, like
worlds, labour, software too if you want to go legal.
And finally, don't get into fights with people. If you walk into a store,
and see the clerk swearing at someone in there, would you still want to buy
from there?
