Greekings!
Over the past few weeks I have been working hard to produce a site combining masses of information about Active Worlds including: o Help Files w/ user comments o Personal Profiles o Blogs o Quizzes o Regular News o Company Listings o Much More I am glad to say that it is progressing well, we now have regular news, company listings, profiles and quizzes, among other things - so if you want to participate (which I hope you all do) now is a good time to sign up (for free!) and register your name. You will notice Google Adsense placed upon the site; hopefully as the site grows and people click on the ads, in addition to covering server costs, the revenues from this will help provide the funding to reward the the monthly top contributor(s) as I will be offering 1 month citizenship extensions to people who put in the most effort - Its in your benefit to participate! The site is being updated with new features, next on the to-do list is to resurect an old mainstay, a community register. In the mean time, you can all register at http://www.temporal-solutions.co.uk/sites/u2i/?pid=signup (those with shared teleport list users can log in with these without the need to sign up again - http://www.temporal-solutions.co.uk/sites/u2i/?pid=login). You can also check out the news http://www.temporal-solutions.co.uk/sites/u2i/?pid=news_main containing interviews such as: o Rossyfox, http://www.temporal-solutions.co.uk/sites/u2i/?pid=news&article=9 o DMC2U, http://www.temporal-solutions.co.uk/sites/u2i/?pid=news&article=18 o Syntax http://www.temporal-solutions.co.uk/sites/u2i/?pid=news&article=12 The help sections such as the 'CT Guide' provide content in a standard format suitable for different groups, http://www.temporal-solutions.co.uk/sites/u2i/?pid=aw_help&topic_id=.ctguide. As with the entire help system, users are welcome to provide their own examples by posting 'notes' at the bottom of each help page as on http://www.temporal-solutions.co.uk/sites/u2i/?pid=aw_help&topic_id=building_cmds_Media. I hope to make the AW Portal the hub of Active Worlds in 2D, and by the technology employed such as RSS and lots of user defined content, I hope that the site will help to promote AW by reaching into areas such as Google News. Enter the portal now: http://www.temporal-solutions.co.uk/sites/u2i/?pid=home IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Follow-Up has been set to the community newsgroup to stop Andras physically harming me! :O If you post a reply please check for it in the community newsgroup. -- - Mark Randall http://www.temporal-solutions.co.uk "We're Systems and Networks..." You miss the point...
Its not the Active Worlds SDK the program uses, its a special browser emulation layer, you arnt logging in a bot - it is actually logging in as your citizen (hence its true name: CitSDK) in order to check when you have telegrams waiting. The only way to log in as your citizen (and hence check your telegrams) is with your citizen password, privilege password is meaningless in this context. -- - Mark Randall http://www.temporal-solutions.co.uk "We're Systems and Networks..." The usual, Googled for Virtual Reality, worlds.com was a bit crap. > 2. Why did you join? What triggered your registering as a citizen? SDK - The features suck, I prefer to create my own :P > 5. What have you created in AW? A myriad of newbie builds, a few dozen bots, lots and lots of virtual offices for myself and others. > 6.
