Not really, but its easier to have something run in the background auto on load up, than to goto a web page, download, unzip, etc...

Did anyone else just see this newsgroup go absolutly insane at the time im posting this.. my Outlook Express just downloaded the standard 300 messages 3 times over and some issapeared into RE....

Over 5 hours, that's nothing compared to what some people had. Was quite funny as that's the first time Ive drank alcohol and it didnt really effect me (although after the first vodka and coke I did get kinda wobbly so I waited for another hour before having another) but 1 girl couldent even stand >:) We had to help her stand up long enough to walk home.

- Mark [View Quote] Here is a movie taken in NewAW. It is 25 megs cuz I don't know the first thing about WMV encoder. It's also a little choppy so if you have a slow connection wait for the reviews before downloading. http://objects.activeworlds.com/newbuild/images/flyover5.wmv Some of the things you will see are the new camera angles, the seqs attached to different environments such as flying, swimming, running - the seqs also have sounds linked to them. Then we go for a flyover of some of NewAW using the UberJetpack from Acme, it's really fast... the first couple of times I hit trees :) we go for a swim and then fly to the mountains where I get altitude sickness... Not really, however we have the point... AWEC dosent send post after post regarding events, I dont, AWTeen dosent... I think we all know about it, but enough is enough. The game this, the game that, im pritty sure that the Game needs to realise that the newsgroups are only the place to inform of large changes for things like events, constant posting about lil changes and events where he / she chooses the winner are not really the sort of thing the newsgroup should be filled with.

Well what do you do on something like a P2P file transfer system and you get flash images up trying to get you to go somewhere to win money? I dare say most of us head off to cracks.am or whip out the nearest hex editor / adaware, all I would like to say is that if these games are so good, comments abuot material prizes should not be put in the newsgroup, but instead put up in the actual world. I dont think anyone is going to come by any harm by this, but the way the posts are made could be improved for absolutly zero effort on his part. Maybe im just annoyed because this is a community website and The Game is quite obviously a corprate idea?
