No... if you had a life you may have enough life experience to realise that
insult to peoples hard work to give people something enjoyable to do on
christmas will get you flamed and crushed into dust.
How do you know that people wont bring their families on for a game of bingo
etc at christmas after dinner?

No.. ive been in over AWTeen for over a year, I have seen it have good
times, and bad times, but the way it is getting at the moment with the
ruling bodies is completly rediculous, they appoint themselfs power whenever
they feel like it when in reality its power that should be Chantals alone...
And Poseidon isnt exactly helpfull in realising this and stopping them...
Its all about power, you have a few good spirits in there (Chanty, Ste) who
are something more than the usual, but being in that damned core is
corruptive, ive seen some really good friends turn to absolute morons in the
time that they have been in the council / core. So im in a pritty good place
in which to make a comment..
Dont get me wrong I like AWTeen, lots of space, nice object path thats been
provided by some absolutly amazing modlers, allot of them from within the
AWTeen community itself such as Robbie and Allen Iverson. But the way that
things are going is rediclous to the power of infinity...

Im sorry to hear that Mr Bruce,
A warning to ALL world owners, never accept 'free' renewals of worlds,
citizenships, and universes, solservers etc unless you know the person
extending them in Real Life. For greater security you must also instruct
Active Worlds Inc to dissvalidate anyone extending your accounts and report
it immidiatly to you.

Hmm yes, I think that the FRAUD is a bit of stupidty on AWIs part... its
exactly the same as disclosing accounting information of 1 customer to other
customers as far as I can tell. Which is breaking the law...

The checking internet connection is the check to detect local host IP and
such and ensure that your connected to the internet, it may also include
various other forms of checks.
The timeout is roughly 30 seconds give or take as long as you dont have a
firewall, in which case it may hang because your firewall proxies it so it
detects a connection, but there isnt 1 there so it just waits for the AW
server to send back the 8 bytes 'o data for encryption and such unrelated
nicities... Win98 is really quite old to be running Active Worlds 3.3
though, check your internet connection, and the proxy settings in aworld.ini
and that may give you some clues.
