Same here. I posted my views about him, and now everyone knows that I think
he's the Bill Clinton of the newsgroups. He's contributed to AW in a large
way, but he also has some large faults. If the leading experts in eepism
justify his faults with his contributions, and because of that don't put
much pressure on him for not following several of the rules that many of us
have to, then there's not much I can do about it except make my views known
and hope other people agree.

What's disappointing to me is that many of the others who are not the
experts take everyone else's advice without seemingly forming an opinion of
their own. Sheep, all of you. =P All I want is for him to work on his
faults more. You've improved, eep, but sometimes it's still pretty bad.

p.s. Let it be known that I'm probably one of the only people around here
that was around before and during the Eep/Facter war and still think he
needs to work on his faults rather than us rolling over and living with
them.

Greetings, Just an explanation because some carefully ignore the facts:)

Insulting people because they are of a different nationality to you, like
telling someone whos primary language is not english to learn english before
they post, or telling someone they will beat the (insert country here) c**p
out of them etc are racist remarks.

If the person eep is arguing with is not from USA, you can bet that second
or third post there will be a racist comment in the reply.

Strange how short some peoples memories are in this field, especially those
that leap on anyone else for less than half the problems that eep causes..
perhaps they are frightened they will be the next target.

i dont like eeps mouth my self i think his posts should be moderated ie
check his posts if they have foul language bummer they dont get seen.
hes going to flame me for now caps and improper puncuation and i dont realy
care.
there are kids here and they dont deserv to be cussed at because some one
thinks their posts are lame newbie posts cause guess what they are kids and

Uh, when you use AW anywhere even NEAR the intensity I do, and beta test (as I used to before Roland couldn't take my non-stop, dead-on bug reports anymore <snicker>), perhaps you'll feel the same way towards Roland (and HamFon and now Shamus') programming abilities (or lack thereof).

I've bashed Roland enough so I'll just let you and others read past messages (oops, Roland mindlessly wiped the beta newsgroup for AW 3.1). HamFon can't code GUIs worth squat; the file transfer dialog box is pathetically lame and inadequate. Supposedly he also wrote AW3+'s triangulation code, but the seams/gaps because of it (and Roland's crappy cell structure coding) show just how bad THAT is. Shamus' new object action commands are inconsistent and lack consistency (rotations work in nonstandard RPMs instead of degrees, no "wait" option, etc, etc). Need more proof of AW's bad design and implementation? http://tnlc.com/eep/aw/improve.html

Until you even come CLOSE to the level I use AW at you just have no room to comment on why I say the things I do. In the real world (both on- AND off-line) people aren't 100% polite all the time, so get over it icey et al.

When you do not agree and have something to say do you really think that
the most effective way is swearing and beign unpolite?
In the real world people are even more polite, I would rather say even
hypocrite and take my advice who is not will need to be responsible for
what said. Here is different, can be even funny sometimes, but a 100%
cussing and harsh manners are really annoying.
My English classes are doing fine:) thanks, who knows maybe I can also
learn some slang!

NAMES!", it's the fact that you even bring up the subject at all! I fail to see what
the whole NewYork/Broadway mess has to do with Eep's language. (Which was what the
original post was about, if you were paying attention) And for you to even attempt to
draw such a parallel is, forgive the pun, retarded. If some other fool decided to
dredge up the NY/Broadway subject again, then you can go ahead and post about Just In
and Co. all you want. But until then, stick to the subject at hand. Is it *really*
that hard? You may not comprehend what I'm trying to instill upon you, but I hope
that someday, you'll get the hint. Maybe take that medication of yours more often?
