Everything is terrible, awcom is evil, so and so is always complaining, you
can't tell me to shut up because freedom of speech. You don't understand
freedom of speech because your not as mature as me. Yeah well I'm more
mature than you because you said "your" instead of "you're" No, I'm more
mature than you. You're spamming. No I'm not. I'm going to complain about
some super trivial harmless thing like it's a crime against humanity. It's
no crime, I hate you. I hate you more. Go to my website. You're website is
a copy of my website. I'm going to sue you. No you can't I'll sue you
first. You don't know about the law because you're not as smart as me. No
way, I'm smarter than you. Yeah well my aw related service is the best. No
way, mine is better and I'm going to sue you for saying something I didn't
like. No way you can't sue over that. Hey guys! We just had a
conversation about sueing, you're a twit idiot for not remembering that.
Yeah, well you suck.

I say we just take down the NGs and any time anyone wants to visit they just
read the above a few times. I certainly couldn't tell the difference.

This newsgroups is mild compared to many of the advocacy newsgroups on
the net. But maybe for people who feel like you there should be a group
called niceynicey or something.

I spent the first 3 or so years of my AW existence promoting it and
defending it against almost all criticisms just like you are doing now.
I didn't even get a T-shirt for my trouble. Maybe they pay you better.

In any event, I'll go back to defending them when I think they deserve
it. Frankly I don't expect that to happen. But there is always that
chance.

Why don't you just filter those you don't like to hear from, then you
can pretend that everything is OK in AWland. Won't bother me any if
you do that.

I think customers of any product have an unwritten "duty" to complain to
the company when things are not to their liking. Usually when one of
these issues comes up I speak my mind once, then respond to anyone who
addresses my post directly. What makes the threads irritating to me are
the people who's names appear dozens of time and who's posts often
consist of quoting someone else's post entirely and then adding: "Well
said" or "That's baloney", or "Its JUST a bot". Those are true
bandwidth, and time wasters.

If someone thinks that spy bot is the greatest thing since sliced bread,
then tell the rest of us why. Then while your at it, tell the rest of
us why it could not have been announced in advance. Also add a list of
other things that YOU think it would be OK for AWLD to do with the
backdoor citizen 1 privileges. And if you have time, tell us of
anything you think should be off limits for that backdoor.

That's really what this debate is about, and I have heard precious
little justification from the other side other than trite remarks like
"What's the big deal?"

Your post above, while amusing, won't convince one of us to stop
complaining, so you better come up with some real arguments if you hope
to do that. Otherwise, use the filter. AWLD filtered us a long time ago.

Hes just trying to make a point. It has gotten pretty bad here latey. A year
ago it was much better then this, but then again there was really nothign to
complain about. I kind of agree with you that customers telling what they
dont like about a product helps improve it but like you said, to us it
doesnt really look like they give a damn or if they even read these posts.
Lately its just personal attacks and how everything is "illegal" or
"immoral".

Also it kind of surpised me how you repeated the misconceptions about some
of the posts. It wasnt a "Spy Bot". Yes it didn't announce itself but why
would it, its just doing its job. Cit # 1 isnt a "backdoor" it was made to
have CT in all worlds for a reason and in now way modified anything of the
worlds.

Yes i agree we should tell AWCorp what they don't like but the point is the
replies of personal attacks and so on are not ok. That's what moff's whole
point was about.

This is just my opinion and it does not need an insulting and attacking
response. Thank you.

Seems to me the major problem on these newsgroups is with hormonal 14-17
year old boys with the grammar and spelling skills of 4th graders.
They may be somewhat computer literate, but socially inept and mostly
incapable of an intelligent discussion of anything short of password
stealing and world vandalism.
They will expound on subjects of legal matters and business examples when
most can't deal with making their allowances stretch from week to week,
nevermind the fact that most live at home and benefit from the support of
their parents. They will tell you how the real world works, just ask them.
If this is the example of what will be running the world in 20 years, I'm
glad I won't be around to see it.

Hey weren't you the one that put up signs all around my old town in AW with
warps to your builds and then deleted it. Aftwards placing walks over the
exact same area? Hmm I think your build was the only one that survived, but
nah it couldn't be you...

Seems to me the problem is people who think everyone is inferior little 12
year-olds with no actual knowledge of anything and think they are the
all-mighty god of what is right and have to criticize everyone and their
opinions. They have to make a come-back to everything to make sure that they
argue what the right answer is to the problem until they get the last say,
always trying to improve their images and how other people should act and
feel, always selfish and never thinking about anyone else's view of opinions
of things (I guess you could call it the "I don't CARE its going to be MY
WAY and that's FINAL!" attitude). These are the people that try to corrupt
everyone else's mind to make them think that whatever they think is right
and morally just.

Wouldn't you agree? Well, I guess your superiority would make me wrong no
matter what I say because you know-it-all. It's not all about knowledge or
age, it's mostly about stereo-types and biased opinions of age groups how
people automatically see each other as. *That* is how most people base there
opinions of other people and it's pretty sad it has to be that way but for
most people it's hard to look past things like that and judge each person
individually.

Let's see, right now I'm 15 years old, I work for my money, buy my own
things, and run a business-like service for extra money. I do not get an
allowance and I never have. I don't mention my services in the newsgroups or
to anyone I just happen to meet because of the fact it pisses me off that
most so-called mature adults do the opposite.

Now if I stopped after the years-old part you would instantly think in the
back of you mind that I'm some immature kid sitting on his computer that was
paid for by his parents who buy him everything (on a side note: what do you
expect? We have to get an education and a lot of kids can't work, where else
are they supposed to get their money? Oh wait, why didn't YOU think of
that...?) and who never does anything for himself except for spend his
parents money and cause trouble, listen to loud rap music, and hang out with
friends all the time. I'm not saying some kids aren't like that but most
people tend to only look at the bad examples of things and think that
everyone must be like that, yes adults do this just as much as kids but they
are WAY to OLD to EVER act like THAT.....

So to get to the point, since I'm guessing your an adult, although I
wouldn't normally guess this by looking at the way you act, I would expect
for you to blame things on the so-called immature teenagers to be the cause
of every known problem on these newsgroups. Adults act just as bad and
people on these newsgroups act exactly like I said above and its the exact
same people who attack other peoples posts while thinking they did absolutly
nothing wrong who cause problems here. Don't blame it on some little kid.

Observe the SpyBot thread below and how it deteriorated with inane remarks
about reporting AW and MrGrimm to the FBI etc....Please, thats just
assinine.

Understanding and guidance has obviously not worked for this generation,
witness the mindless videogame addicts who think violence and killing are
acceptable solutions to the worlds problems. The problem is they don't get
enough criticism or discipline. Here in these newsgroups you have some
trying to spout legal knowledge and business solutions they have no clue
about. Their ignorance is an embarrassment to educated young people
everywhere. As far as acting immaturely...they have been doing fine in that
regard long before I mentioned it.
As far as what you find offensive... really doesn't matter now does it?
At least not to me anyway.

The way I see it, if age doesn't matter, why are you trying to prove it

It certainly would be a shame to say that moff piett is defending anything
and everything AWCom has ever done. What he is doing is pointing out the
stupidity of some of the complaints that have been recently made.

As far as having a duty to complain, if AWLD filtered you, why are you
complaining here? Take it to e-mail. Otherwise, if they aren't filtering
you after all, go right ahead. But ONLY if your complaints are well thought
out and have a suggested solution attached to them.
