Don't say it's the day he was resurected then. Don't even bring your
religion into it at all. Easter was celebrated long before Christians
celebrated it. From what I remember in history class, it was adapted
into Christianity to make the conversion of the pagans easier, trying to
bring their celebrations and such into the mix. Just wish Happy Easter
and be done with it, try not to say "Yes, happy easter and drink
christ's blood!". It really just isn't needed anymore, we know you're
Christian -- and we know you're Zealous about it.

The XP Home version I had would not let me change the Administrator
password or give me access to the user/group settings. I could then
connect remotely with no password as administrator wherever I went (even
using remote computer management it would NOT allow me to change it)...
made me feel secure.

On that note, there are two different types of LCD. The one with the
view angle problem is the older style, often the same price as CRT's
now, but the newer style does not have the same problem with the view
angle (something to do with having a seperate transistor for each pixel
or something like that, as the old style had just one for length and
width). As long as you're not cheap (why should you be, you're buying a
piece of technology?), you can get a prefectly comparable LCD to CRT
with the same refresh rates (mine refreshes up to 85Hz... don't imagine
why you would need anything more than 60 though) and no view angle problems.

But, then again, I don't like carrying 60 lb monitors around so that was
a large factor in my choice of monitor. Maybe you like the workout?
Don't know. :)

It's my experience that CRTS are prone to problems as it is... my
friend's monitor turned a green tint after her stereo was too close to
it and she left it on. But, we're all fanboys of something... I have my
nVidia and LCDs, you have your Athlon and CRTs -- I would bet $100 you
would buy an ATI too... you just seem aggressive like they are.

;) I'm bored, can you tell?

As always:
nVidia owns you.

Samsung has a nice 17" viewable that costs $200 after rebates and fits
your LCD problem. The only problem I have with LCD's is the native
resolution... but I don't play too many games that can't go to 1280x1024.

I have yet to be able to get any games that do not have a software mode
to work in linux. But even then, on a fast PC, it's pretty good there
(although it looks shitty).

When a game comes out that's for both Linux and Windows (a game that
requires good hardware), then we'll see. Too bad no one develops for
linux, that's a geek gold mine.

Apr 27, 2004, 9:50am
[View Quote] [View Quote] Not necessarily. Windows takes a lot of the "knowledge" out of server

which is exactly why these viruses spread like wildfire. Admins that

Great scott, shut up. Move to France, eat your cheese, and stop
whining. Every country on the face of this planet is corrupt, all media
outlets are biased, get over it. You want the whole truth, you're going
to have to search for it yourself. Even Michael Moore is biased.

Nothing lasts forever, not even the Roman Empire. Get over it.

But, it's clarely apparent that you're only seeing what you want to see.
Unmatched is all the good that the US does, all the funding we pour
into things such as children's funds. Just because the US government
doesn't sponser it doesn't mean the _people_ don't. That's what
matters, the people. Our government can't contribute to every fund to
help the needy, it just can't. It's not it's place to even do that as
it's supposed to keep the _country_ up, not the starving people. The
free will of the people is what decides where their money should go (and
is why they can donate). Surely that's one of many topics of good.

I don't like Bush either, but I like your nagging less. If we were to
return to isolationism you would see how truely bad this world can get
without our involvement; that's just my opinion though. You may like
the NAZI party; more power too you. That's your inalienable right as an
individual, unfortunately.

[View Quote] They both are complete.

The first one deletes the file avatar.dat

The second one deletes the folder my.world.mypath (which you should
replace) so that your objects will refresh when you bounce off a closed

you. Also I think it hides all the files it deletes from being
displayed. Although you could do it with just at echo off. But it's been
a long time since I've toyed with batch files so I might be off. :D
