its not that, i can get it logging in and all, but cant get the event
handling working. i manually(not sure if theres any other way) create a
function, and use the event set thing, but the function never gets called!
know what thats about? :)

you can't steal paths with a normal bot, maybe using a citsdk, but those
aren't easy to make/find, since well, AW doesn't actually make them.
and why would it be illegal? O_O all it's doing is checking the keywords.

ya, i agree with gnu32. you're just bitching about something totally small.
someone asked, strike answered, he typod it. thats all there is to it. all
you need to do, is correct the url, or mention that it he spelt it
incorrectly, no need to turn it into some intelligence report.

not too sure about this, but to run programs on your host, would need either
a dedicated server (expensive, very) or a virtual private/dedicated server
(less expensive).
or, could ask the host if they would be willing to let you put the bot up i
guess?
i've been looking for a host for ages that uses windows, and does virtual
dedicated servers, but no luck yet, so my guess would be you would need a
dedicated server.
well not too sure, but think thats correct.
oh, if anyone knows of any hosts offering windows based, virtual dedicated
servers, please let me know!

not sure if this would help much in a crowded world, but could try ananas's
fetch script. http://oct31.de/aw/fetch/index.html . it replaces missing
textures with a predefined texture (could make it like some very bright
yellow and black thing) or, missing objects with a predefined object. well,
thats the only thing i know of.
alternativly, could just use a xelagot, do a survay, and then find the
location of the object with it? don't remember how to do it, but almost sure
it can be done.

Well, just, don't give up or anything, but as equin0x said, you really are
going no where. If you are serious about this, then if you are basing
everything on AW, your screwed at the end of the day. Instead, try this, go
and get a job, save up money, and when you have enough, then start your
business, register a company and all that, shouldn't be more then $100 for
all the paper work for a private limited company anyway, will need some one
else though, 2 people to register i think it is...
Anyway, then, create soemthing that people who have never been to AW will
find interesting and useful. Be creative, anything at all, as long as it's
useful. Then, look around for companies and try getting them to buy it.
Oh before that though, take a tutorial or 2 on business writing, have to
sound professional.
Just my opinion, but if you concentrate on AW, you're screwed.
I don't mean to put down Murasaki, or Starheart, because thier work is
great, and my guess is this is more of a hobby for them, then a business,
but $10000, you could do better then that. Now a days, $10,000 could give
you a great month of clubbing, and not much else. In london atleast, and in
the clubs i goto.
And don't forget, in thier case, they make everything themselfs, so don't
have to pay anyone else. you'll end up with quite a few expenses, like
worlds, labour, software too if you want to go legal.
And finally, don't get into fights with people. If you walk into a store,
and see the clerk swearing at someone in there, would you still want to buy
from there?

maybe if they set up internships too. hell, i would like a little internship
for the grahpics artist and 3D modeler thing, if it just didn't require
proper skills and actually doing a set amount of work every week. would do
it for free and all.
But ya, kind of see thier point? young people are never as predictable and
realiable as old people, hell, i haven't been to a class since i was given
the house to myself. except for french, that's easy and makes me feel smart!
:)
Well anyway, without a bachelor's, you're pretty much either young, or
haven't been bothered to go to university.
oh wait, do they give bachelor degrees in american colleges, or do you have
to goto a university for that there?
