Hi,

Since many of my bots are becoming outdated, I have decided to release
the entire codebase for everything that's listed on shoemakervillage.org
(and for some things that aren't). The following bots will now be under
the GPL:

-Ultimate Paintball
-Demeter
-Vote Bot
-Activeworlds Utility
-AWTeen Inauguration Day slideshow producer
-Thor
-Thor 2 (sun position calculator and time of day portion)
-AW SDK Functions 2.bas and bot classes

Some of the more minor projects will also be made available eventually.

Tony M is handling the conversion and is in the process of setting up a
code management system, so direct any questions to him. Hopefully some
bot programmers will jump onboard and help to improve these projects.

Keep watching here for an announcement once Tony M makes the code available!

It would be cool to set up a wiki site for your bots. Just a thought. :)

Any news on this or did I miss something?

Warning: This code may make a professional coder cry.

I guess that makes the code too advanced for someone like you. At least
get the spelling correct on the url.... geesh

four words...

Vodka
"may"
Shaddup Andras :P

------

:) I would warn people away from trying to make anything of that code,
Demeter is slightly more organised but the PB, Utility etc are absolutly
shocking in their coding, layout and file structure - you will have a
seriously hard time even re-constructing the various projects from the
nonsensical folder layout.

If anyone has a few days spare, perhaps they could remake the projets into
seperate folders and rip out using the hundred thousand OCX files that are
used to make them easier for people.

You may be able to learn something from it, perhaps the core classes - but I
wouldent advise it, I expect Brant is a much better coder now than he was
when he wrote these.

Better idea!

You could of course, respond to the post yourself, giving the correct URL
but... you most likely did not know it yourself, or you would have posted
it, right?

I could be forgiven for mentioning the word hypocrite.

[View Quote] No, unless everyone has a problem with the word "village."

I'm sure all that cared fixed it for themselves. Just because I noticed
the mistake doesn't mean I want to go and fix it for you. You have to
learn how to use the spelling checker someday. Or at the very least,
test your links before you hit submit/send.

ya, i agree with gnu32. you're just bitching about something totally small.
someone asked, strike answered, he typod it. thats all there is to it. all
you need to do, is correct the url, or mention that it he spelt it
incorrectly, no need to turn it into some intelligence report.

[View Quote] It wasn't, until he found it bright to retort with an equally asnine
comment about how I'm just as stupid for not correcting. Such a pithy
argument.

Had he not commented on how Brant's coding style, his perfection
wouldn't have been so transparent.

Why does it seem like you want everything perfect aswell then?
