When I bought iCandy I already had my cit, and got an additional 3 cits with
the world. I asked them to use one of my free cits to extend my existing cit and they did, giving me almost 2 years on my initial cit. Soooo.... you could ask them to add your free cit onto your existing cit. Kerstin Why isn't anyone renewing?Oct 23, 2002, 8:43pm
Second Life goes gold Monday 23 JuneJun 18, 2003, 6:15am
Second Life is going live this Monday 23 June. Get started by getting your
residency at: https://secondlife.com/ss/?u=f83e591ef0109aff9cc2408aa587c203 New world open - iCandy4UOct 20, 2002, 7:38pm
Hi. I just wanted to let you all know that I have just opened my 3rd world.
It's called iCandy4U, and it is a Teapot Museum. The Teapots are all houses that can be furnished, and they are cute as can be. The teapot model was made by Johnny B, and he has generously offered to give it as a free gift to the community. Thank you, Johnny :) Kerstin Kerstin Owner of iCandy, iCandy3D, and iCandy4U Personel attacksOct 31, 2002, 10:45am
Good points, Wiz. There are those few people we see in here time and again
who quickly resort to personal insults and personal attacks. If I didn't see people in here being outright abused, I would find it humorous how these same few people consistently attack anyone with a differing opinion or viewpoint... on anything. Discussion is out of the question with them. They are entirely disinterested in anyone's opinions or thoughts other than their own. It's gotten to the point where I now can predict exactly who will pipe up with an insult and when. lol. Even the order in which these same few people chime in stays almost exactly the same from thread to thread. lol Maybe for those of us who appreciate the exchange of ideas and viewpoints, and want to engage in them, we could have 2 threads for each topic -- one thread for those of us who want to discuss the topic, and a separate thread for those who just want to sling insults about those engaged in the discussion. I do hope that one qualification for moderator is that the person cannot be
one who is known to create havoc in this newsgroup, instigate flame wars, and keep flame wars going. The idea here, which you seem to have missed, is to reduce or eliminate those things, not keep them going as you do. [View Quote] NewsgroupsNov 7, 2002, 9:11am
2. Cys decide to hold a separate Teen Award event each year, so that those
talented kids can get the recognition they deserve, in a safe environment. 3. Some generous and caring community members support this astute move by the Cys by jumping in to offer prizes for the event! 3. The teens go wild!! They are so happy that they will have their own event, in which they now can shine even brighter, and even have a better chance of winning, without having to compete against adults with more experience, some of whom are professional! And they can win worlds! cits! software! yay! 4. The entire community is happy that something that was perceived as a negative by a few people, was turned into a wonderful positive by a few other people who decided that instead of harping and complaining, they'd support this positive action by AWinc, and find a way to make it work for more people in the CommunitY, so that even more people could be satisifed. 5. The previous fragmentation in the CommunitY begins to heal, they renew their cits and worlds, and everybody lives happily ever after. [View Quote] NewsgroupsNov 7, 2002, 9:39am
I would hope the older members of the community would go out in droves to
the Teen awards, to support the kids, and encourage them in even further expanding their talents. I know a number of the older members, talented technicians and artists, who would definitely be there. [View Quote] NewsgroupsNov 7, 2002, 10:00am

you're right. better not to separate the kids. separate the adult worlds
is better. just thinking ahead if they go forward with this, how to give something to the kids. i sure wouldn't want to see them with nothing at all. [View Quote] NewsgroupsNov 7, 2002, 11:26pm
I've never seen adult chat in citbingo or andor, but in the AWbingo worlds,
and on more than one occasion. In fact I have one chat log from a night where a ton of Goreans were in there, talking about kinky sex, and continuing it after being asked to stop because there were underage kids there. Also, in the chat log, you can see how the host, who is also Gorean, allows the chat to go on for quite a while, despite the complaints, until she finally half heartedly asks them to tone it down. If those sort of conversations are going to be permitted to go on in AWbingo in open chat, then the world should get some sort of adult rating, and keep the kids out. Mr Bruce, I don't want you to leave. We need you in here. You are such a
generous person, and you do such a great service for this community. You are a person who understands what community means, and you put your money where your mouth is. This community desparately needs people like you. I know how you feel. It's really tough to express your opinion, and have people come back and say and do such vicious things in retaliation. I have so admired you for speaking out, and having your say, despite the attacks on you. You have great courage. Please don't let a few vicious, self centered people, with bad hearts and bad intentions get to you. I know it's hard, but you've got to rise above it. Your stance is one of morality and caring for your fellow human being -- you are above them. Know that in your heart. and please don't leave. The teapots have moved to my new world Teapots (lol) which is not yet open.
And yes, the teapot houses are still available for free to anyone who wants one. I thought you had yours all this time lol. Just gram Johnny B and he'll send you one. Kerstin [View Quote] Second Life? What happened to the First one?Dec 13, 2002, 10:06am
Or, enzo could contact each reporter who's written an article about 2nd
life, and say "Hey, why the hype about Second Life? AW is already here! Come see us!". Then the reporters will write wonderful, wonderful stories about AW, the people who *would have been* interested come to AW, when 2nd life is released they're already engaged and invested in AW and don't want to make the move, and we all live happily ever after. And... this wouldn't cost a single penny. Actually, enzo doesn't have to contact the reporters... any of us could. Kerstin [View Quote] Second Life? My new world Teapots is now re-opened. I've rebuilt it into a winter

I think we all know there are people who feel that way, and I think we all
know who they are. You don't need to read back too far to find them -- it's always the same ones that jump in at the drop of a hat and unleash their insults and vitriol. I think you're mistaken that it's vigilante justice -- that infers almost a sense of nobility that just doesn't exist in these people or their actions. The little group that does the bashing, flaming, and insulting are just people with similar personality problems and a whole lot of hostility who recognized that similarity in each other and gravitated toward each other, rationalizing their disgusting behavior to each other. It's not 'vigilante justice' -- it's just plain old meanness. Hopefully now that enzo is spending more time reading in here, he will see those same few popping up time and again with their ugliness, realize the impact to the majority of his customers, and he'll get rid of them for us. Then we can start having some meaningful discussions in here that will benefit the community. Kerstin [View Quote] Re: 5 More day, till Christmas!Dec 21, 2002, 12:12pm
