Thanks to the permission and help of AW, I was able to bring the MegaPath
world into DLP without having to rebuild such a huge object yard world. It
really saved me alot of trouble. Also thanks to Linn and Wiz for such a
great job with thier efforts on creating that yard :)

Amidst all the griping (of which I am certainly guilty), it's nice to hear
something positive about what they are doing.

Very encouraging to hear them assisting Universe owners like that.

N/P glad to help all to use such a wonderful set of objects and seeing them
is half the battle.

Share and Enjoy :-)

Does Megapath accept items that one wishes to give for free (like Freebies
world for instance)?

mega path means allowing your world to use several OP s therefore your own
would be added to it and if the obj is in yours yes :.)

The Megapath is an Object Path provided by AW
that has all the 3d home page and Alpha world objects all on the same Path
and has nothing to do with Multipaths, and you cant upload anything to the
AW Megapath.

you can download the Megapath files and add them to your own Object Path.

Yes my world uses megapath already. The question perhaps should have been
.... if I had objects I made that I wanted to donate to Megapath (or aw for
that matter) ... how does one do that or can it be done? I've already
donated them to Freebies world but was wondering how/if I can do likewise to
megapath and/or aw as well.

iv'e never heard of anyone donateing objects to AW before maybe thats
because
people naturally think AW won't accept them after all AW has it's own
modelers.

you could try emailing support at activeworlds.com and asking them if you could
donate them ,
but to be honest i dont think AW would accept them.

if you do let us know how you get on :o)

I belive AW seldom accept models to be added.
Not excatly sure what the reason is; maybe they are afraid of potential
copyrigt issues, laggy objects or simply do not feel like updating the
registry very often.
It has happened though that they have accepted some simply and useful sets.

The AW Megapath is one " single " object path and not a multipath lol

lol what I meant was one needs a multi path set up in order to access the
whole mega path right?

nope the Megapath is stand alone and you use it just as you would use any
other normal Object Path.

The Megapath has nothing to do with a multipath setup at all.

What Brock said to dlp anne and others in DLP wasn't "common knowledge." It
was an insult. As for your other comment......*shrug* ;P
