I want to thank you for your time tonight in explaining things to me was
a simple misunderstanding after all thanks again *hugs*

Er, ever heard of email or telegrams? No need to post this crap here...unless you're THAT desperate for attention or to somehow be "forgiven" by people who don't give 2 shits and a piss anyway...<roll eyes>

Ladies and Gentleman, I'd like to announce that this year's winner of the
*sigh* award goes to... eep... for consistently causing a multitude of
people to *sigh* with every post he makes. Able to stick his nose where it
doesn't belong in a single bound. Able to leap tall stretches of fact to an
irrational conclusion in a mere nanosecond. Never fails to take (or make)
an opportunity to spew childish and vulgar drivel. The man is amazing.
Indeed, eep is a true jerkus maximus, and I can think of none other in this
NG more deserving of this lack of distinction.
Congrats, eep. Now crawl back into the sewer from which you oozed.
Kerstin
Self-appointed Head (and Body) of the *sigh* Awards Committee

Not always available. A person might not know someone elses e-mail and/or the person
they are trying to reach blocks all incoming telegram. In which case, this would be
the next best place.

So if you don't know someone's address you'll run an ad in the paper with
your message because it's "the next best place"? Really, there's no reason
to post messages to one person in a public newsgroup.

you acting stupid, or were you born that way? how can you compare a ad in
the papers to the NGs? its like when someone wants to get something all his
other friends get, and thier parents say "if your friends jump off a cliff,
would you?"
SWE
-just found out he can post in the NGs again

The newsgroups have never been, and never will be, a proper place for *personal* communication. Newsgroups are, by design, a medium for public announcements and group discussion. Personal communications do not belong here, especially when other modes for said communication are available.

I'll pretend that made some sense and just continue on...
While I agree that Linn should have kept a message like this to email, I
also agree with Johnny that Eep didn't have to be so forceful about it.
Perhaps rather than berate her for it, he could have given her Daphne's
email address so that it wouldn't happen in the future. But then, I
suppose Eep could never grasp such a concept as "tact". :P

Posting a private message in a public newsgroup is a waste of time for every person that has to read
it (other than the intended recipient, of course...). I don't care one way or the other what someone
has to say to someone else.

Good point SWE... Or perhaps linn posted the very message in the newsgroups
(general discussion mind you... at least it wasn't in community, or this
thread would be two times longer), in order to tell everyone - not just
Daphne "Hey, ok.. I made a mistake, and I am sorry I made such a big deal
over an error in judgement on my part." Is that really so bad? If so, you
could always do as SWE said, and when you see a message saying "To so and
so", you could just not read it with the intent to flame the poor person
because they posted a two line message that is in your mind... out of
bounds....

Those people have nothing better to do than picking a person to flame at,
it's obviously what they do for fun.
This thread proves it once more than those people have no respect at all.

Obviously if daphne has been helping her then why didnt she say thanks to her then and not on the NG and try to cover it up with a no other way story?

Because I was very tired and trying to play a game of Spades and I told her
so!!!! Linn and her unending whining, even after explaining over and over,
finally pissed me off so I set my telegram options to not accept any
telegrams from her till the next day... As IF it was any of YOUR business,
SR... Now go make another plan to take over AWTeen or go back to the Gate
and spread your misinformation... That's what YOU are good at...
