LOL I've received that from him too over a simple question!! Hamfon makes
better bots as does Andras and they both have answered grams. Head's growing a little too rapidly I'd say ;) Elyk [View Quote] andrasAug 24, 2003, 4:54am

The TG feature of AW is nothing else but short messaging or remote chatting. You have no track of the whole conversation, you can't really archive them (except with a tedious process) and if you move between browsers (machines) they don't follow you. Nevertheless emails catch your attention much better than a tg :) I answer tgs most of the time (fortunately I get only a few a day!) but if the topic is not solveable within a few message - I usually ask the sender to move it to email. I think XelaG's reasoning is similar - maybe the execution is not the most user-friendly :) -- Andras "It's MY computer" (tm Steve Gibson) andrasAug 24, 2003, 4:56am

Xelag can certainly not be blamed for not answering questions.
He does, friendly, all the time, and quite fast in email. He even takes the effort to answer in french. He can not be blamed neither for not answering to loads of telegrams from loads of people with tons of questions. When you log in AW you might want to relax, have some fun, and not to spend all of your time answering questions. I completely understand and respect that. Right, but what if you live right next o a mine field? I think I get enough
of the outdoors, there is a HUGE window in the room my computer is in (at least 20 feet tall and 50 feet wide >:-P. Anyway, I go outside all the time. Why do you think you don't see me on AW pretty much at all? heh [View Quote] strike rapierAug 24, 2003, 11:30am

Eep was (is) not much of a debater, he is more like a small evil kid who
tries to scare others with shouting the loudest. He might know things, but he seldom bothers to explain anything, mostly goes for "fuc**** newbie idiot". When he gets into a debate it usually ends with "suck my filter, twit", that is when he runs out of arguments. One can compare it to a kid in the sandbox.; " I am not going to play if we do not play as I say" One thing I have always found a bit kontravercial is, that Eep most likely is an intelligent person, yet he seems to have severe problems understanding logic; I am not even going to get into his non-extential capability of empathy. I know obe should not speak evil of a person who is not in here, but he has filtered me anyway, so would not make such a big difference even if he still was here *g* Drac elyk <kfoerst at sbcglobal.net> kirjoitti viestissä:3f45304a$1 at server1.Activeworlds.com... > No, actually I just feel he was best at debating people's crap in the NG's > in some aspects, thanks for your 2 cents though ;P > > Elyk > > [View Quote] count draculaAug 24, 2003, 1:16pm

A few times I have heard people complaining they were not allowed to host because they are gorean or involved in some other roleplay game. I have found that a bit strange, because many people who plays these rolegames has children of their own, and I am sure they would be interested in keeping the place G-rated. I wonder if Anthony Hopinks would like to host, if he would be allowed; after all he played a cannibal ..... In general I think it is dangerous to judge people because of their profession, hobbies, look etc. Drac count draculaAug 24, 2003, 1:26pm

I think the whole g-rated thing is bull pucky.
There are no studies which show that exposure to sex, potical topics, or other exposure is harmful (exlcuding violence and bondage, neither of which can be done or shown on AW). [View Quote] .duo.Aug 24, 2003, 2:32pm
rofl, get it, because I said pucky instead of shit. j/k, m ypoitn still
stands. Actually, let me phrase it better. There are no non-bias studies which show that exposure to sex, potical topics, or other exposure is harmful to younger people (exlcuding violence and bondage, neither of which can be done or shown on AW in a place liek AWGate). Too bad no one knows this and is just caught up in folk psychology... [View Quote] bowenAug 24, 2003, 5:03pm

No, that's just your silly foreign mindset. Try going to any country
without any ruling power, or who's currently going through a Coup, or a civil war... Try actually coming to the US, and not hiding in your "safe" little country. -Joe [View Quote] strike rapierAug 24, 2003, 8:43pm

Exactly, most countries (even without civil wars and such) are much more
dangerous (Spain, Portugal, and a number of others are examples). You can't base what you think of an entire country on one place (the ghetto) or its leaders (who's decisions might not actually reflect what the majority of the population believe). Also take into account that the USA is the country with the LEAST prejudice and NO prejudice laws (even though Bush is trying to get rid of state church seperation by doing various thigns such as funding faith-based organizations) and you get a not that f***ed up country with leaders that are somewhat f***ed up. Even Bush has his good points (don't laugh), for one he is trying to get rid of embargos of Brazilian oranges and such (clementines in the summer, yay!), and also pushing for performance based education instead of the way it is now. Give me a country name and I assure you that it is much more f***ed up than the USA. Not that the USA doesn't have lots of thigns f***ed up about (lol, I should use a different word). Examples: capital punishment, hiring bias (though not as bad as in other countries), all those tax cuts (>_<), umm... yeah, fanatics, and umm... you tell me? I can't come up with too much more.
