this is one of the reasons that i dont think i will be using the new water
feature is because of the z buffering with terrain, it looks great from
ground level but the higher you fly up the worse it gets.

has anyone noticed z buffering effecting objects aswell as terrain ?


i made a medieval build set which has cross beams going diagonally across
the walls and with 3.3 there is no z buffering between them but with 3.4
there is, from standing the same distance away from the walls in each
version.

to be honest i would prefer it how it is in 3.3, ok so you wont be able to
see asfar but what you do see will look much nicer as i think z buffering at
the moment really messes a world up if you have terrain and water acitvated
and look down on it from up high.

when you select multiple telegrams for deletion it plays the telegram read
wav, but when you select 1 gram for deletion it does not play a wav.

i guess it's a bug playing the read wav when selecting multiple grams ?

I dont think it is a universe is it ?

I thought a single world p50 was a galaxy server
they seem to be into promoting singers and artists
sounds like a good idea, cant see too many people going there though as
build is very limited.

When I origonally built this PC that i'm useing now I built it to use in AW
specs are 2 gig p4 500mb ram and 64 mb nvidia chipset vid card.

After trying XP , 2000 and ME and having exactly the same problem you are I
tried the PC on a few 3D intensive Games and found out that it wasnt a
problem with just AW, after starting to play a game or use AW the PC would
either blue screen or just switch off with no warning at all.


In the end I tried a non nvidia based vid card that was in my brothers PC
and it ran totally stable, so I changed my vid card for a non nvidia based
one and the PC has been totally stable on XP since.


It's worth trying out on a few games to see if its just AW it doesnt like.

It had nothing to do with my Bios version or settings it was a
compatabillity issue with the nvidia chipset on the vid card and the intel
chipset on the mother board.

most console / PC games have 40 - 80 hours game play , then its finished and
when you replay it, its the same old things again.

with AW a citship lasts a year and every day is differnt , the path isnt set
like it is in a Game, so everyday can be different but that depends on the
user :)

you cant really compare the two lol
