A badly timed temper tantrum. :) Someone pulled a DOS attack on Ox's ABN

Wouldn't this be grounds for a lawsuit now adays? Defamation of character?
Or is it libel? Either will suffice. Not against AWCom, mind you, but
against the world owner.

I'm no lawyer or political scientist, but I believe, for everyone's benefit,
that the term "freedom of speech" is often miscontrued as the freedom to say
anything you want. Rather what "freedom of speech" means is the freedom of
intelectual speech. That means no libel against an individual. Period.
A corporation is also granted certain rights and privelages just like a
regular person. So AWCom, for example, can reserve the right to terminate
any world if they want, as long as the action doesn't violate the First
Amendment. This is most likely the reason IMO that there are Gor worlds
running in the AW universe. However in most cases their decision would
probably hold up in court.
Anyone correct me if I'm wrong in any way, please. :)

Dearest marcus... I am one of the few who have read all of your posts in
the previous months.. :)
But I intend to agree with Nornny. The issue that Nornny and Goober King
and myself have brought up is that if a conversation exists between two
people and only two people, it should be taken to e-mail and not brought to
the attention of the entire newsgroup.
Now if you can't understand that, that's fine. You will continue to be
verbally hounded and flamed and spit upon and chewed on and ragged on and
kicked at and punched at and shot and dragged and run over and keelhauled
and shanghai'ed and drowned and beaten and pierced and stabbed and impaled
and knocked around with a trout and flung and noosed and wankered and hung
up to dry like a wet blouse. In other words, shape up to what the newsgroup
expects from you and do not hold the newsgroup to your expectations, because
you won't get it. Nobody's perfect. :\ If that doesn't get OUR point (not
yours) across to you, then I don't know what will. Because at the moment,
most of us don't really much care about your point. That is for you and
Flagg to discuss... privately.
Have a nice day,

This whole "premise" of marcus's just goes back to how everything has been
dumbed down across the world. Where there used to be a ledge, there is now
a ledge with a big yellow sign saying "CAUTION: DO NOT JUMP" Marcus, just
go take a flyin leap. That's what you're best at.
