and beyond that-i have trouble beilieving her "personal beliefs" don't
affect her public decisions-i'm certain that WAW picture was just jokingly-i
doubt BvS would degrade you intentionally.. and even if he did-how would
that warrant his no longer being able to donate things to citizens? If he
donated under a diff name, the same objects, you would allow them, because
that diff name didn't "offend" YOU personally..

I had a tourist av in my world for three days straight once.. never moved.. just stood there.. how odd.. kept my world user rate up
for a while though hehe.. it was weird cuz it was the same name as a tourist friend of mine used to posses.. only in quotes.. i
dunno if a person was there or not.. but it struck me as odd..

: The phantom avatars is an old problem. When dealing with making bots, I
: found that the world server (*not* the universe server in this case, wich is
: responsible for session numbers), messes up. This can be seen in bot
: interfaces and in AW browsers. Ghosts are common in bot interfaces. When a
: disconnect happens, but the world server itself did not detect it, the
: session number of the ghost remains valid. When a reconnect happens,
: usually the ghosts remain a few seconds, then the world server removes them
: and sends a message to the bots and bvrowsers to remove them too. It is
: sometimes quite idiotic: my bot Delph gets a wfs, when he reconnects, he
: greets Delph who is still there (but with a lower session number) :)
: Usually, the old spook disappears after a few seconds. In some cases, it
: remains in browsers and bots alike forever, the only way to get rid of it is
: by moving to a different place and coming back.

public, there stock as been dropping since $5 for the past 9 months or so. Investors aren't being fooled by Rick and JP's games.
Yes, AWCI may be making a pathetically small profit, but until Rick and JP can show they actually have DIRECTION for AW, and aren't
just playing the latest oh-gee-let's-see-what-the-media-is-hyping-this-month card (like "e-commerce"), don't expect AWLD stock to
rise anytime soon.
:
: It's funny: I told Rick the other day in a telegram that he really needs to start getting a direction for AW and he replied with
something to the effect of "well, we ARE going to the Game Developers Conference". I was like, uh, so? Your point? If you don't want
AW to be the laughing stock of the GDC you should make AW more gamelike BEFORE setting up a booth there. Duh. He still doesn't get
it. Ah well...perhaps some game developer WILL get it after seeing how pathetically mediocre AW is and develop something MUCH better
(or acquires AWCI and develops AW CORRECTLY).

you have to remember Activeworlds.com is the same company who charges $70 for them to "license" a world.. wtf is that? but anywho..
of course your prices are gonna be less.. no matter what you charge it's almost guaranteed to be below the ghastly $200 a year ($800
+ $50 setup for 50 MB of FTP *puke*) oh well.. you can add my hosting service to your short list of *below $10 a month* because ALL
my services are below $10 a month.. most of them are even below $5 a month.. anywho.. I can't talk about my hosting without
providing a link-that would be just wrong! lol here's my pricing - hosting.awjbell.com

it WASN'T "me or him" from facter's side.. facter was trying to diplomatically decide the removal of eep- eep tried to declare that
stipulation to make facter look bad.. And I disagree that it was a *ALOT* of anyone that voted for him to stay.. seemed prety half &
half to me.. and about it being a lot of the aw population.. i'de say about 20 ppl read this newsgroup regularly.. not quite the aw
population.. I also think a lot of people voted who haven't heard the whole concept of what was really going on.. and reading it
only one side, voted for him to stay..

there's not enough evidence to prove that it is Stuff-X's website... it would be too hard of a case for him to win.. so if he did
sue you.. not only would you need not worry-he would lose a lot of the money he made (or hasn't made) on his poor-priced "company"
and i'm sure all the "cutting edge" and "award winning" statistics aren't exactly precise.. especially since the cutting-edge
security software is so cutting-edge he won't say the name.. i used to use a firewall my service.. but i realized i didn't really
need it because i'm not stupid enough to enable myself to potentially harmfull damage.. oh-well..

AWCom has Obviously coppied my website. If you haven't noticed, even the background color is the same as I use on most of my sites.
Their usage of text to spell words is in dirrect conflict with the copyright on my site, not to mention the fact that they use
images, and I have images on my site too. See for yourself tools.awjbell.com AWCom-please delete all text and images form your
website, and change your background color or prepare for a lawsuit.
Thank you,
John M. Bell

: Ok, this could be a lawsuit right here, you need to research sometime,
: "false accusations" and that is a crime.
