Sorry for The Game being closed on Oct 16th. We were revamping it, and are
still making some improvements. It is now open. There are still some FREE
Spider-Man movies (DVD or VHS formats) available for those who sign up to
play!

It has come to our attention that several posters to this group feel the
need to bash our game for trying to inform the same of our game world and
what is going on there.

Although we do enjoy getting responces to our postings, these individuals
have, with no basis for their accusations and slander, taken it upon
themselves to bash us. Many of these individuals have never even been to
our game world or spoken with us prior to their unkind remarks. We expected
more in the way of common sense and respect from AW citizens, being that we
are new here. Before anyone passes judgement upon us and our game they
should at the very least visit our web site or world and make personal
contact with our many game masters. They will answer any legitimate
concerns and/or question.

We do realize that not all AW citizens met us with such distain. Many
citizens have embraced us into the AW fold with open arms. Our registered
players have had nothing but good things to say about our world and The Game
in general.

As to the prizes offered. They are 100% real. We opened The Game offering
cash prizes, which will be paid, and are now on a points system. We are run
by DASH Enterprises Inc.(and not an individual) which handles all
prize-related grantings.

We hope this will help you better understand who we are and what we are
about. To register for and play games we offer is totally FREE.

Attention AW Citizens! The Game (the-game world) will be holding interviews
to fill the available slots in its new upcoming weekly game shows and
events - where contestants can win prizes.

All shows will be aired live on AW TV stations (see station’s ads in weeks
ahead for show times and info). Various prize giveaways, contests and so
on, will also be conducted; allowing “viewers” to win prizes as well!


Needed are AW citizens (only) interested in becoming games show hosts,
contestants, and live audience participants.

I've built a world in which I have restricted flying and going through
things (other than other Avatars). However, it seems that other citizens
can do both of these thins in my world.

reporters and commentators for our weekly airings. The station will
broadcast a variety of AW related news, information, announcements, and
commentary via.

You will be required to submit at least one article/commentary of interest
per week. You have the option of sending in txt or wav files. Obviously
wav files will be played on air. You may select any byline you wish to be
known as.

If you think you would be interested, send us a telegram. Send to: The Game
Master, and one of our members will get it.


Please, if you are not really seriously interested, or do not think you can
make weekly deadlines, do not apply.

The Game

The Game is seeking AW worlds (world owners) interested in participating in
a new intramural gaming platform. This gaming platform "starts" in Mummy's
Maze, located in the-game world, and teleports players (with or without
notice) to other AW worlds, where they must locate game elements, find
clues, solve riddles, and even unravel complex criminal plots and crimes.


For set up, all that will be required is for world owners to place specified
objects at predetermined locations in their world. We will need specific
teleportation coordinates, as well as teleportation objects to forwarding
worlds.


The Game will provide story/plot lines, game structure, rules and
conditions, prop images, prizes, and so forth.

The benefit of this game to world owners is the refreshed traffic drawn to
their world.


Sound like something your world would like to be part of? Then send a
telegram to The Game Master and we will work with you to set everything up.

Do you own an non commercial AW world, community, or homestead? Do you have
an up coming event you would like to announce? Would you like to advertise
it for free on GAME radio? We are offering free 60 second advertisement
spots to all AW citizens. You may submit your ad in as a text file, to be
read by the announcer, or a wav formatted sound file to be played on air.

"Tag!"

Here's how to play this new game:


The Game Master will go into the-game world at different times of day, pick
someone (an AW citizens only) at random, and whisper to them a secret code.
If that person is, at that moment, a registered player of THE GAME they will
be instructed to go to the secret code entry page, fill it out and send it
in to win either a prize or game points. If they are not registered (at the
exact moment they are approached), they will forfeit this win. You must be
registered and you must frequent the-game world often in order to win.

Non points prizes may include cash, video games, a video game consol, MP3
players, and more! For information on how we can offer these types of
prizes etc, please visit the-game world.


Anyone who is not The Game Master and tells you a code, should not be taken
seriously.

Just a short note about any inflammatory REsponses to our postings. We
immediately block any and all who send them, which is why you will never see
a REsponse from us. We have no interest in engaging in pointless chatter
with those who feel these newsgroups are an open forum for them to air their
anger and frustrations. Understand that by responding to these people you
are only fanning their unquenchable appetite for conflict and flaming.
We highly recommend that everyone BLOCK the news threads of these few
individuals as well, so we may all continue to enjoy these newsgroups; lest
AW close them down.

To block some one's news thread just do the following (for Microsoft Outlook
Express): Click once on their post to select it. Then go to the Message
tab and select Block Sender. This will block all current and future posts.
