This has been touched on recently, under the thread "AWI- AlphaWorld Feature
Vote, come on." that was started about two or three weeks back.

Cheers to that =)

Someone might rotate objects into your land though! :P

Then I'll break out some PK action within minutes. 3 axis beats a little
petty vandal by a landslide IMO. And personally I don't have any of my
objects next to anybody who would do that, lol. Prolly applies to most
people. Why build next to an enemy/trouble maker?

Speaking of PKs, is there a PK appreciation day? Think they deserve it,
being volunteers and all =O

When I pushed to have 3-axis object rotation enabled in AWTeen in 2001,
these same arguments came up - that people would use it to vandalize
properties next to theirs.
In reality, I didn't hear of even one instance where this sort of vandalism
was used during my tenure. Besides, it would be easy enough to clear out
with a bot that simply strips objects by a certain citizen number with a
certain action command. Magsbots and Xelagots can clear huge areas of
vandalism in a few minutes.

yeah, in awteen, we've only had a few of these cases, to my knowledge. And,
strangely enough, most of them were at or near GZ, where people have land
there. But, they were *easily* taken care of

I propose a compromise that a new twin Alphaworld be created
(Alphaworld-sized world (32750x32750 cells)) with most of 3.4 features
including 3-axis rotation and other enabled. OR Maybe create a new
Alphaworld-sized world but this time uses the latest dump prop (or something
like that, I'm not really familar with it.) at the time of creation of new
Alphaworld and so it will enable to continue building on your properties,
this time same properties in different but similar world. And also, it can
also use Demeter as well, which I support as well. It is up to Activeworlds
Inc. management to decide to give it go or not. Simply name it like "AW3" or
something like that since "AW2" is already taken, at least.

I seldom put in my 2 cents, but since we're paying a lot more than that now
.... I too would like to see the original AW have 3-axis object rotation
enabled!

Actually he was the one behind the coordinate system we used today, called
Cartesian Coordinate System (CCS) named after him. So you shouldn't hate him
because he invented x-y-z coordinate system for you :P

No kidding. :P He was still an idiot. "I am only aware of my
existance, so I'm the only thing that exists" how existential (sic) of
him... Still, he was a jackass.. :P I hated philosophy to let you
know. Nothing like new age bullshit and old hippie ladies to get you
angry at the world.

I hadn't noticed ... that will make a big difference in the terrain that I
can make more interesting now. I also just found out that Tourists can go
to the original AW once again (without building rights). Finally!

Somehow I get the impression you were "angry at the world" long before
you encountered philosophy. Either that, or you just couldn't understand
it, so you got angry at it instead. ;)

"I think, therefore I am"? Hardly, he's covering the process that he
can only be aware of himself as that's the only thing his "mind" has
control over. Despite the fact that recent sciences have found that to
be wrong and that it's really "I think, therefore we are." The reason
is that, from what I've read on it, that your mind is really a whole
bunch of subconciouses bound together. Like your color perception is
about someodd milliseconds faster than your depth. So you see color
before you see objects.
He just angers me, just him. Socrates and Kant are all ok, just not him...

Oh yeah, it wasn't me that came up with the "Descartes is wrong"
theme... it was actually the title of the article.
