Can someone help me with setting up the playlist for the DJ
that runs on the same server as the world. The midi files are also on the same hardrive. When I set the path either using http://.. or just d:\.... it will not download anything. problems with playlist Xelagot DJOct 19, 2002, 8:10pm
yes, I want to play them without using ip protocol. Looks like there is no
provision for that. The files get downloaded to the drive anyways. So why can't they be used without going thru this process? [View Quote] problems with playlist Xelagot DJOct 19, 2002, 12:38am

I am having a problem with the build deletion feature in my world.
I followed the instructions as far as I can tell. I do the survey, save all the cell content I want, and then save the project. All the build is mine and I have eminent domain rights. I save the propdump to be safe. The bot software is running on the same machine as the world server. I click on the destroy tab, leave the setting at 10, and select all objects in project, then I press start and continue. All I get is a delete failed list of all the objects. What gives? build deletion with XelagotJan 28, 2003, 9:47pm
well I have 2 cit# numbers, but mine is the one logged in. To be sure I
deleted the second and tried again. Still the same error. I must be doing something stupid, just don't know what. [View Quote] build deletion with XelagotJan 29, 2003, 12:32am
there is no error code. it just says that DeleteFailed for each object in
the object list. [View Quote] blimp movement for XelagotDec 7, 2003, 3:34am
does anyone know how to restart the blimp movement for the bot
after it gets disconnected? I have to manually restart it if there is any internet dis-connection of any sort. I run the bot on my computer 24/7, but have the world hosted somewhere else. Echomencers above post MEANS NEW UNIVERSE!!!!!Aug 18, 2003, 3:04pm
There is a problem with the install program that most people won't
encounter. It assumes that the computer that it is installing on has drive C. That may not be that case and then the install fails. I emailed the webmaster about that. [View Quote] Echomencers above post MEANS NEW UNIVERSE!!!!!Aug 18, 2003, 3:04pm

well keep up the good word and post those cit numbers :)
If everyone concerned adds them to their permanent ejection list, and you can add tons of them, if they cant enter the world, then they cant access the path. New castle version Release 2.0Mar 19, 2004, 2:00am
Castle Version 2.0 is available from Starheart 3D designs :) <--- pretending
to be Microsoft It has many bugs fixed (all insects in it are dead) It has a new user interface (meaning new steps and doors) It is slower then ever ( more verts and more lag ) It consumes more menory then ever ( meaning many more useless objects) I requires more diskspace then ever (meaning all models are bigger files) It requires a faster computer -video card in this case ( meaning all those vert intensive parts are a real hog ) It requires more installation time ( those pesky 16 character passwords <--kind of useless too) It is more expensive than ever and a none of the new parts fit the old one ( it is on a 0.12345 meter grid) There you have it :) oh and it is more expensive than ever Sorry NOT - an early April Fools day joke, LOL Starheart New castle version Release 2.0Mar 19, 2004, 7:25pm
I could not resist. Many times a new software release has unnecessary
features, more bloat, a userinterface that is changed just for the heck of it. Tell me the need for the new user interface in XP? It looks like crap, something colorful for a 5 years old, you know like a cartoon look It does not improve productivity, it hides all the good system tools. And then the professional version costs more for then Win2000 which by default can support more then 1 CPU. Oh wile I am at it, the old Pentium 3 could be put in a system with more than 1 CPU, now the new Pentium4, has this feature disabled, so as to force you to buy the Xeon. Another program was Lviewpro. I nice tight little program to have a quick look at pics to see what they look like. Look at it now. A Photoshop wannebe. Has editing and all kinds of stuff that I will never use. Try loading it now, takes 10 times as long to come up :( Sorry for the rant. Starheart New castle version Release 2.0Mar 21, 2004, 12:43am
sorry, you are missing the point here. I was talking about unnecessary
changes. Making that stupid interface now requires more disk and I am sure slows done the CPU some more with those slow moving antics. How amany ppl are actuallt using that stupid paperclick helper? Here at work it is turned off on every machine. I know how to turn it off, but can you tell me exactly where the files are so I can delete them? Starheart <-----Hates bloat New castle version Release 2.0Mar 21, 2004, 5:32am
I just don't care for the flat look. I remember when Xwindows
came out for Unix and it had all those nice beveled edges on the windows. The reason they could do that was because they were running 1600x1200 resolution on those workstations. At that time the windows interface was Mickey mouse. Then when WIn98 was introduced that was a step forward with the look and the user interface. But I don't care for the XP flat look. It is not an improvement., it is a step backwards, IMHO Not only that, but look how may keyclicks it takes to get to the administrative tools, or change the folder options to display the file extension. Starheart Strange email from LinnFeb 8, 2006, 1:48pm
I got an email from Linn that also inludes a lot of familiar names of AW
cits. in the list From: larry shough [mailto:shough at wf.net] Sent: Wednesday, February 08, 2006 7:19 AM To: lb ainsworth Subject: Fw: Don't buy Pepsi in the new can -----Original Message----- From: Date: Tuesday, February 07, 2006 11:02 AM Subject: Fwd: Don't buy Pepsi in the new can Note: forwarded message attached. the attachment does not show an extension, when you browse over it, there is not enough space to see what it. if it is an exetutable, so I am going to assume it is a virus. So if anyone else that receives it can figure it out without being infected by opening it, let me know. Mine is going in the trash. Strange email from LinnFeb 9, 2006, 3:15am
re: emailFeb 9, 2006, 6:37pm
well let me explain a bit more. I wanted to get another person's opinion
who may have received Linn's email before I contacted her telling her that her computer is infected and sending out emails to everyone on her email list.. To me it looked like it could be a virus, but was not sure, since the title of the attachment was too long to display the extension. So apparently it was just a chain letter :( And it seems from the posts that a lot of people read this newsgroup.. re: emailFeb 9, 2006, 7:07pm
I am sorry for causing Linn grief about that email, I should have checked
with her first. I also send a cancel request for the original post. Stagecoach Island Video AvailableFeb 20, 2006, 11:53pm
It is the SL video. The bar does not exist in that form in Stagecoach, the
avs are skinned avs, they move without showing those joints, and the building that has all the clothing shown does not exits either. In some of the video you can see the famous faded blue fog horizon of SL, whereas in the AW version you can see almost all the terrain. [View Quote] free grills for those who need themApr 15, 2006, 11:57pm
It was really good weather lately, so my family decided to have
a BBQ. These free units can be picked up at any grocery store, but require some disassembly. Here is a picture of one.... lmao http://www.sh3d-design.com/photos/free_bbq_grill.jpg Starheart Pewters cost less than $442 nowJun 16, 2006, 6:14pm
Pewters cost less than $442 nowJun 16, 2006, 6:21pm
looks like if you want over 400w you need to pay over $100 for those
supplies. What a rip! For that much money you can almost get a goldplated one with dual fans and configurable power connectors elsewhere. [View Quote] Pewters cost less than $442 nowJun 16, 2006, 6:30pm
I like the new contact list featureJun 12, 2006, 5:48pm
with the new add contact confirm I can see who is adding me
to their contact list. At the same time that person gets added to mine. The "?" on the name has always annoyed me. So when that happens I delete that person from my contact list. Now with the new feature we have, its even better, my name gets deleted from theirs as well :) I like the new contact list featureJun 13, 2006, 4:32am
That exactly my sentiment.I started this discussion with. I had one person
on my list that had a "?" and since I don't know them and I never remember talking to them then what is the point of me having the ? and them having me on their contact list? My solution is simple, I just delete them and my name is removed from theirs. If the want to add me again then and they give me an explanation I might give them permission again.
