Stagecoach Island Video Available // Communityequin0xFeb 20, 2006, 11:31am
For some reason, I have seen people asking when the video of Stagecoach
Island will be available, and where to find it. Now, I was thinking.. someone makes a video, with authority in Stagecoach Island, the "VideoDirector" has bold, AWI assures it is not them, so obviously, it must be Stagecoach Island staff (who didn't know that already?). Add up the rest for yourself, they just wanted to replace the SecondLife video. After you put one and one together, I hope you all can figure out that the video shot in Stagecoach Island has been available for quite some time now. http://www.swivelmedia.com/fun_money.htm Then again, I could just be behind the times, and others did know this.. Hopefully though, I won't get any more questions of when and where to find it. Hope it helps some of you ;) Thanks, Equin0x deltaphcFeb 20, 2006, 6:37pm
Although it looks very similar, I think this is actually still the
Second Life video. I can tell by the dark name bubbles above people's heads, and how the avatars look, among other things. The video itself is okay-ish. A bit too jerky in places though. -- - DeltaPHC Cit 355508 http://delta.digibase.ca baroFeb 20, 2006, 10:52pm
The video is bigger than the bloody product, why don't the people just
go check it out for them selves? starheartFeb 20, 2006, 11:53pm
It is the SL video. The bar does not exist in that form in Stagecoach, the
avs are skinned avs, they move without showing those joints, and the building that has all the clothing shown does not exits either. In some of the video you can see the famous faded blue fog horizon of SL, whereas in the AW version you can see almost all the terrain. [View Quote] sweFeb 21, 2006, 2:13am

If it is the SecondLife video, why have they now posted it on AWNews.org --
even without a small "Thanks to"!! What is this world coming to!? In all reality.. Some parts made me think it the original SL, but the other parts defintally look like AW. [View Quote] heretik anemailadressFeb 21, 2006, 10:55pm

It looks alright because it's shot in its former SL incarnation instead of
its current incarnation. ;) On other hand, I intend to stay as a citizen of Active Worlds universe as long as I live and as long as I can manage to afford it before I either go bankrupt or x_x. :P I'm not really that impressed by SL after all. Even its greater-than-normal tolerance of adult content aren't that impressive to me either. Adult content make lousy architecture, too. ;) Anyway, I'm really content with Active Worlds after all and I'll be patiently waiting for Active Worlds 4.1... unless the SimCity 5 I'm still waiting for has been released around that time. If that's the case, I'll rather wait for AW 4.1 before I'm, uh, "exhausted" from playing SimCity 5. That doesn't mean I will cancel my citizenship in that circumstance either. ;) Either way, I'm not interested in that video since we've already seen Stagecoach Island with our own eyes... what else is new? Sure, you'll see yourself or your friends in it but that surely doesn't impress me either. :P In one-sentence summary: I'm not that impressed. :P -- Respectfully Yours, Legion Chief Executive Officer and President of Operations Circle of Peace Inc.
