No, someone hacked the Peacekeeper account, or, a peacekeeper went nuts.
Who knows, but, why would someone move their servers somewhere else because
a password got hacked? Think!

AW is a memory leak, plain and simple. When aw gets a little out of hand
and doesn't have enough video ram to work with, it makes the video window
smaller and the other windows bigger. Its just something your going to have
to live with. Maybe the DX8 improvements in 3.3 will fix it :).

Well, you have it all wrong :). I'm a beta tester and I have a 450MHz with
a 16MB video card. Nothing 'ubahl33t' about my setup, its falling apart.
There are others with crappy computers on the team too, I suppose. Oh, and
I'm not a close 'buddy' of anyone at AWC that could give me beta access.

By making it public Roland just couldn't keep up with the bug reports. By
having a small group of testers, there's a smaller amount of reports coming
in at a time. Also the same bug isn't reported a thousand times. It gives
Roland a wide range of systems without having lots of people. I think the
current system works, but that may just be me. But making it public, I think
would be pushing it. They did make it private for a reason, correct?

Well, I don't think that's going to happen any time soon, sorry. It seems
that most of the people that tested 3.1 tested 3.2. I guess that's going to
drag over to 3.3 too. I don't know, because I'm not Roland :). You never

Yikes, its not good to run a Pentium that high. Not only do you need a
heatsink the size of your head, your system becomes unstable. Unless you
flood your machine with liquid nitrogen, its not a good idea. Try running
it at its advertised clockspeed and stop bitching about your crappy computer
and windows 98 setup.

Pentiums are crap. Even with a good proc I wouldn't go up to 200%+ the
normal output. You going to start blowing gates if you run it that fast,
then you'll need a new proc. Fans do nothing when your going that fast, all
they will do is push the hot air around in your machine. You would need a
water cooling system, which can also damage your system if not installed by
someone with an IQ higher than 10. What your doing is a bad idea. Running
windows XP is also a bad idea. Two wrongs do not make a right.

Windows 2000 beats the pants off of XP and doesn't look so fruity. I want a
OS that works, and has been proven to work. Not something that has
Microsoft spyware, a clear interface and you can only install five times.
Anyway, there's a lot of good apps for linux. Linux/unix/solaris are much
better than windows. They are more stable, have much more opensource
projects going for them, and best of all... are free. In the world of
windows, you have to pay for everything. Hell, someone's trying to sell a
crappy VB application for $150 that if you look in their HTML sourcecode,
you can download for free and crack with little or no trouble. That's how
crappy windows, that sums it up. Everything's for sale with windows, you
must buy this, license that, purchase upgrades for this, run around and
spend spend spend! Everyone's out to make a buck. But linux/unix/bleh on
the other hand, its all free. You can get great applications that are equal
or better to the windows equivalents for free, and sometimes even opensouce.
All the smaller projects are opensource. List one good opensouce project
for windows that hasn't been ported or originally started off on a
linux/unix system. Sure, there are some, like the 56k demo, but for every
one that windows has, linux has 500. Anywho, if you know how to tie your
shoes, one should be able to set up WINE on linux.

I need to sleep... and get a life.

I've tried it on a 2GHz machine, 1GB ram, 128MB vidram, it still sucked. I
was not impressed at all. And, my normal machine isn't shitty at all. I
think an overclocked AMD 1400, 512MB of DDR ram, Radeon 7200 isn't shitty at
all.

Its not that I have anything on my system that I want to hide, its more of
the morals behind it. Its like the government installing cameras in your
house to monitor you 24/7. Also, I reformat my machine often to get rid of
fcuked up blocks on the hard disk, I dont want to install five times and be
stuck.

I have never had a program become unstable and bring the system down. I
have never had a crash, I have never had a hang for the six or seven months
that win2k has been running on my machine. My other shitty Celeron based
machine has been up since I got it, only going out when thats the unusual
power outtage. Never crashed, never hung. XP wasnt designed for anything,
other than making pointing and clicking easier. Its a worthless operating
system, like BeOS or NeXT.

Their attempt was pathetic to say the least. The webmaster must be on
crack, or drunk. No, it wasn't their choice to put it on windows.
Activeworlds is on windows, so, their software *must* be on windows or else,
only a small small small portion of the AW community will use it.

I complain about money because I dont have a lot of it to spend. If I was a

software.

I've seen plenty of good freeware out on the net. Freeware has the
reputation of being crappy, because of all the VB programmers who have the
6MB programs that sort your MP3 collection, deleting half of them, and then
turning your computer into a microwave oven.

Your not fluent in my little 'opensouce' crap because you hide on the
internet. People dont think of XP badly because of rumors, it has a damn
solid reputation as a junk OS full of spyware. I never said anything about
performance of the operating system, just that its a bad one. The macintosh
OS works smoothly, unless you try to start three things at once, then it
crashes. What do you mean by 'your programming junk', I dont program
'junk', I dont even program that much. The only things I program are PoC
and some bots for my use only. I never said I was the best programming in
the world. I'm not a script kiddie VB wizard that can make a mailbomber in
VB then laugh and cry in a puddle of sweet and mountain dew when it doesnt
work. Windows is not ok for the adverage computer use. Maybe, it would be
somewhat ok for a beginer, but not an adverage. I would even reccomend ME
(ewww) over XP. I dont have to use XP because I would rather burn my
computer to a pile of ashes before using XP. Its not my choice, its my
morals of not letting someone spy on me, and not let me do something over
and over again. Damn it, its my software, I should be able to install it as
many times as I want. But, no, thats not good enough for micosoft. To
them, I'm nothing, im only licensing their software. They still own it when
its on my machine, so, therefor they own my machine. No, thats not how it
works hotshot. Thats extreamly bad business practices. I'll flame you into
the ground if I feel like it. Hell, your a puss for starting this and then
running. Grow up, and as eep would say 'Grow up, sport'.

Try again. Good for you, you seem to be the loner type. Anyway, how can
one have a 'hard virtual life'? 'Virtual life' is a damn oxymoron. If your
going to live, go outside or something, don't use the computer. Of course,
your much too popular to be bothered with such things like, friends, or
outside. If I doesn't mean anything to you, why the hell are you replying

sake, go get drunk with 'friends' or whatever you do.

Weee, lets play the letter game...

A) A computer program can be described as a "pile", it is a pile of code,
poorly written code for you.
B) Good for you, I like to see people pissing their lives away on the
computer instead of going outside, making friends, etc. Really, the last
twelve hours? Hmmm, your bot must suck then, so much programming for so
little. I haven't insulted "various members" of the community, only you.
Last time I checked you don't make up the whole community, maybe your ego
does, but you sure do not.
C) I can present any explanation that I wish. I'm already extremely mellow,
and if I got any mellower, I would be sleeping, or dead.
D) I am not the person who programs this "AWProxy". Please look your local
whitepages to find the local "AWProxy" dealer and ask them.

Love and kisses

Ha, they've been including functions out of AWProxy into the normal browser.
Their trying to kill it, but it doesn't seem to be working ;). They dont
hate it, they haven't banned anyone over it, at least for a long time. Its
not biggy. The most usefull function of it is spoofing your Computer ID
(last four bytes of the mac address), messing with how things show up in the
browser, and some other things like that. Its not harmful to anything. You
cant take over worlds with it. Although I know you'd like that.
