ignore the offending vegi. Doesn't mean all sandwiches are bad and should
be ignored.

Why don't we all just stop swearing in the newsgroups? No one wants to hear
anyone saying cuss words when they read posts.

Go away kiddie, sometimes "vulgar" language is the only way to get your goddamn point through some people's heads. If you're too
young to hear someone say a word, than you shouldn't be here.

If swearing is the only way you can communicate a point than perhaps you
should sit down with a dictionary and learn some new descriptive words. I'm
not for the banning of "cuss words", but overuse of them is just,
uncivilized.

May 12, 2001, 6:30pm
Unfortunately with some lower lifeforms in this group, they are a part of standard vocabulary and are a neccessity for them to
comprehend.

It is a good attention getter. But then again my philosophy is if they need
to be sworn at to understand a point, then they arn't worth the effort to
talk to. Such uncivilized and low class people... why can't be all just
be lovely and nice to eachother, and have an increased yearly steel
output... that would be nice.

It's impolite to use language like that Wing. I understand your anger
though. But it actually makes you look like a foul-mouthed kid when you
talk like that.

Hey MP, tell me if this is good enough for you. The reason we don't use big
words is because you little kids don't understand what they mean.

It is impossible for us to have a colloquy so we use improper language
because it is terse. We are not bludgeoning you when we do it, we just need
your attention. If you will make a covenant to not be so immature then some
of us may agree to stop with the language. Otherwise shut up.

Exactly. A foul mouthed kid that knows his stuff. If people would just lay off the idiotic AWTeen junk and chuck and company would
GET THE HELL OVER IT I might have a chance to share knowledge with the rest of us instead of participating in lame flame wars.

Huh? What are you talking about? I suggested we ignore posts we don't like
instead of starting a huge flame war/argument every time and suddenly it's
turned into a debate on how swearing is nessisary due to kids not
understanding big words?? Kids don't understand uncommonly used "big
worlds" so it's ok to swear.. huh? owww....

My poor little brain just can't take much more of this sort of logic... I'm
staying out of all these emotional charged personal debates and sticking to
simply reading for news.

The kids can keep on flaming, the early teens can keep on swearing, and
makaveli can keep on substituting big words for a decent argument... I'm
going to back to focus on steel production, cement apartment blocks, and
general lovelyness.

That is what I referred to "sit down with a dictionary and learn some new
descriptive words" I took that as "big words", we use what language is
needed. You kids don't listen to a thing so we have to get it through to
you.

I know it would be nice NOT to hear any CUSS words in the NGS...
But i have yet to seen a GENERAL AUDIANCE NGS [that is NOT the KIDDIE
GENERAL AUDIANCE ONE] not use CUSS words at some time or another.
Yes it would be very nice... But that is why there are something called
Moms & Dads or Older Brothers & Sisters or Older Friends or Child
Guardians who can OR SHOULD keep any CUSS words away from the really
younger kids that may wonder in here. But since this NGS is certainly
not Romper Room... It is pretty much certain that sooner or later
some tiny tot will have to cope with some of us SO CALLED nasty at the
mouth types in here.
Maybe we all should get into the BROADCASTERS habit here...
When you are about to say a really nasty word like BLEEP you use another word
or the word BLEEP in it's place... Us older ppl's will understand what that
BLEEPED word might be... But some kid might not understand and that way you
would protecd some kid from reading my BLEEPING comments or anyones elses
BLEEPING comments either.

You could try to see the newsgroup postings more like a
letter than like a street brawl, that would help choose
a more intelligent way of conversation.

Even flame wars can be fought with respect for the person
you want to flame. Using swear words is NOT a way to show
that you are very wise or adult. Not using them is not a
sign for beeing immature but it shows that you think about
your posting instead of letting all your emotions run wild.

Even if I am very upset about someone I (at least try to)
stay respectful. It does not always work but most of the
time. And be sure that my time as a kid is long gone.

Why don't you just crawl back under that BLEEPING rock you came from you
BLEEPING jerk. Us BLEEPING people don't need to be talked to like we
are some BLEEPING bunch of kids...

Something like that... Gee... I don't need some BLEEPING dictionary to
say that... Just some BLEEPING sence not to say the BLEEPING words.

I was not referring to you when I said "kid", I have used maybe one word
that was inappropriate this whole time I have posted here. I consider
myself to be mature for the most part.

When you understand the difference between descriptive words and big words,
you may just progress from idiot to troll.

Good luck, you are the weakest link, goodbye

I know that you did not, but as I do not want to use or read
lots of swear words that would make me be a kid in your eyes.
Partially not really wrong, I sometimes feel like a child
when I play with avatars - but not for the reason of not
using "bad" words *g

I am an idiot now? What have I done to make myself an idiot? I said some
things that were towards the real idiots (Chucks Party, JFK2) I am starting
to think you are the weakest link? Agreeing with a few people doesn't make
you a big help. I used "descriptive" words as well as "big" words, the term
"big words" doesn't mean anything different than "descriptive words", it
doesn't mean they are actually longer or anything like that, just means they
aren't commonly used words, because there are other words that mean the same
that are more common.

Off topic but I don't want to repost.

In past post you agreed that wing was a "foul-mouthed kid". Prove it. One
or two swear words does not make you foul-mouthed. I am sure you have used
one here and there.

bzzzzzzzztt wrong! Until you realise thats not the case, you will remain
an idiot. Theres some very big words (big means long) that are not very
descriptive, and some very short words (not swear words) that are very
descriptive like "red"

sure, but not here in public, and not in real life in public, I have a
vocabulary that allows me to express myself without having to resort to
using swear words.

Many people I know will resort to swearing in private, but most people have
the common decency to not inflict their immaturity on others in public.

Well, if you are going to complain, then leave the NG. No one else who is
mature seems to care about it besides Ananas, and as you can see in a past
post, she/he DID state a reason that was logical. You insult most humans on
Earth by saying they are immature for swearing. Most people on Earth
including yourself has sweared once in their life. That must make you
immature too huh?
