Might make sense to create a not repeating ground object,
if you built it with a few low-poly elements. At least as long as no large-distance objects are implemented. [View Quote] andrasMay 12, 2003, 4:15pm

Well it would be helpful in animating. Like if someone wanted to create a
flash something or other, or an online tour of there build. Instead of piece by piece putting it together in an editer. [View Quote] tengelMay 12, 2003, 8:12pm
The idea is not so stupid, at smal world you can create a object, that you
can use in a 3d software, and then create a good 3D map of the world. Tengel [View Quote] tengelMay 13, 2003, 2:30pm
another nice idea of this is, if this tool can also create object out of
elvdump, so it can be used in 3D software, If I want to make a object that is very terrain based, it would be nice to have the same terrain in the 3D software as it is in the world I want to make this. I know this can be done with some another tool you have, but little more complicated then just create from elvdump. [View Quote] dlp anneMay 20, 2003, 2:31am
Could you please make this tool :-)
If you can, it would save me alot of time trying to line up objects in True Space. I would find such a tool very useful for a nonrepeating ground object set up as small GZ building. [View Quote] technozeusMay 23, 2003, 5:19pm
another possible use for it would be to create simple landmark objects at various locations, by making them part of a non-repeating ground. Yes, it would definately be a useful tool to have, for many reasons... including potnttially the ability to convert a small world to a VRML file for the purpose of demonstrating to people who have a VRML viewer just how large a "small" world is to those of us who are used to Active Worlds. :)
