Last night, when Alpha World was allowing tourists, I noticed the atmosphere
was more tolerant of the adult like chat. Alpha World more tolerates
tourist names that might be questionable under the criteria at AWGate.

For example, at AWGate tonight, someone by the name of Bed Pan was asked to
change his name. He ended up leaving either because he didn't feel he
needed to change the name, or he was ejected ( I don't think he was
ejected.). I don't think much about the name of Bed Pan, but I understand
care has to be taken to make sure even the slightest offensive tourist name
is dealt with at The Gate. If tourist Bed Pan came into Alpha World to
chat, I feel there would not be a problem with his name.

I guess what I'm saying is, there are benefits to allowing tourists in Alpha
World, if just for the benefit of chat geared towards adults. It probably
would have solved this problem. I hope AWI considers this as it might mean
the difference between someone leaving our universe offended versus
welcoming the addition of a new citizen.

Yanst...I like the way you think. Lets let tourists in AW Prime just so we
can tolerate thier names.
That will be the highlight of my AW experience....

Maybe he was chinese?

My english is not very good but I do not see what is so bad with "Bed Pan",
it is like "Chair Coffeebrewer" or "Desk Spoon"
If he got ejected, shame on the one who ejected!

Bed Pans are those bowls you put under your bed that one... uses for excretory
measures.

Many GateKeepers are totally ridiculous!!! I've seen it over and over and
over!!! It's a "power thing" though.. They can decide who to eject solely
based on their own likes and dislikes and their Team Leaders pat them on the
back and tell them what a good job they are doing!!!

There are VERY few good GateKeepers...

The GateKeepers were a good idea as they were first conceived but when the
person that got left in charge quit caring to the point where AW Inc.
through another person at "fixing" the problems, all they did was make the
problems worse...

Anyway, that's water under the bridge... I think AW Inc. doesn't mind the
GKs chasing away potential uses... If they did they would have put some
ppl in charge that actually knew what they were supposed to be there for....

Hey, Facter... Did you find the original GK charter or do you want me to
send you my copy of it??? :o)
