Does anyone know of a bot that can parse data to and from a database via a
world. Preferably a Microsoft SQL database or Microsoft Access Database. I
am looking for a bot that can read, write, modify and if at all posible
create new data directly to a database rather than a text file.

The reason for this news group is so that people can post wish list ideas to
do with activeworlds technology, now my wish is kind of away from this it is
simply that you would discover what the point of each group on the server is
for and only post in relivent ones as you seem to have a serious problem
with identity and you have no idea where to post what!
As for you bot idea if you dont know if a project is a good idea or not
perhaps you should not be a person who creates projects rather one who works
on other peoples that way there wouldnt be any lame posts of do u think this
would be a good idea or not!
well thats my wish :)

well we did a 100 cit offer a while back like a year ago, since then we
decide there free for all for life so we wont be charging after a 100 sign
up as that would mean 1100 people own me back rent on there citizenships :)
So feel free to drop by now, next month, next year and get your free cit and
then apply for your free building land and enter into the community events.

If you are emplying that VS needs the money then may I point out politly
that you are very much incorect, and that only a short while back I offered
you money to build some bots yet you would rather have a cit and a free
world then you tell everyone we need money?
Lord Vector.
P.S. we bought a AW universe engine so we are still wishing on AW
technology.

Well I for one would love to see it done, we have to bare in mind that
roland has been given a deadline of the 1st of December for 3.1 so I dont
imagine it will be in 3.1 but from the tech talk post I can see there is a
load of cool stuff that will be. Maybe in 3.1a or 3.2 perhaps.
What I would love to see even more is a stop to cracked browsers maybe an
algorythum could be created to do this. Everyone get your brian in gear and
help roland out on this one as it would be a wise investment for all

Insanity is aka Filmkr for those that can recal that far back and im not
supprised by his attidue he has caused problems in Vectorscape universe in
the early days of it setting up and taking the law into his own hands as it
were , Insanity,Filmkr , Lars what ever u go by know, If you want to
disagree with my short statement then bring it on as I still have all the
emails from you and others, icq chat logs and our ftp server logs.
Acutrans is a top product and I for one know everyone who uses it will not
be fased by your rubbish as they can see the time and dedication put into
the product and its marketing long before you ever got anyware near it and
im sure it will continue this way long after you are gone.

As far as I know it hasnt gone down yet. As far as I can tell from talking
to them they are simply planning on how to continue in the future with a
member leaving. They are doing this in advance so I dont see why they should
have a problem so what is the point of starting rumors that they are, why
not be supportive instead or doesnt that happen any more.

I would like to formaly invite all the people in AW should the adverse
weather conditions cause the backup AW Uni Server to go offline that they
can come to Vectorscape should they need a place to chat etc until the AW
Uni comes back up. Dont worry about citizenships as they are free.
I would like to point out I am providing this offer as its Xmas and AW
happens to be in an unfotinate situation due to the downed main server and
the weather that could cause the backup server to go offline too.
If anyone had a Bingo bot and some cards they are more than welcome to bring
it along and I will provide a world for the use of so that you may have your
own portable home as it were and some entertainment.
Hope this helps should it be needed.
Regards,
Lord Vector.

Lanezeri,
if you hate the USWF and anyone else for that matter why waste
your time in Active Worlds(or any other uni or chat enviroment for that
matter). I think your taking the entire thing kinda personal and have lost
the point abit.
so u got ejected, I have been ejected from AWGate before now just cus the
GK's couldnt answer my question lol. Yet you dont see me moaning on anoying
everyone else (hence why Im writing this cus Im F**Ked of with hearing
little kids wineing on about crap!).
if you want somthing constructive to do why not buy your own world, make
your own team and provide a usfull service within the universe otherwise
stop going were you are not wanted for what ever the resons may be ( I dont
want to see 900 posts on it wasnt my fault, I didnt do it, It was him, He
started it) Just be a man , u have said your peice now move on.

If you are hosting the world your self then the line you need to add to the
aworld.ini file in the world server directory is as follows:-
[world]
name=
password=
port=7013
[rights]
the port range can run from 7000 - 7777 posibly higher but I havent found
the need to yet :) hope that helps you out.

Lord Vector - Stay,
I have been in AW since 1998 , and used the news groups from day one and
have found eep's posts to be most entertaining and always bringing a smile
to my face. Most of his comments are valid if not put in the ususal way most
of us would expect but hey why not if it gets peoples attention.
If you want to ban anyone ban all the lame people who post total rubish that
isnt related to AW Technology , I mean does anyone actualy give a rats a**
if its not related to the AW engine? I thought thats what this news server
was for I personaly dont want to permit someone i dont know to host my world
i paid for on there pc with a cable modem even it it is free. Nor do i want
to listen to them debating why its free, whos cracking what object password
or who is bascly spaming the server with un related trash that just anoyed
everyone to the point that we all wander were its going to end.
If you are going to do direct attacks on people to get them voted of the
news server then I sugest you start with all these lame people who do not
respect what this news service was intended for rather than pick on one
person as you dont like the tone of there comments, so you feel u can get us
to do your dirty work for you because then you dont feel like the bad guy.
You may feel thats un just but im affraid that is what you are doing, I
understand your loyalty to AW as there your boss and this is there server
but they provided it for the community they also said it was for the
community to use by adding there citizen mames and passwords from the uni
server so they can post on it and all citizens of AW are that community so
either apply this rule to the community in whole or not at all.
While you at it go read the wish list and add a few more news groups to the
server.

Facter,
why dont you just shut you face, go back to building the
Looooooooooooooong over due web site, I hope its better than the current
pile of garbage. If you have any respect for the AW community (which its
obvious to anyone with half a brain cell you dont!) then if you are going to
ban him do so or shut up and tell us somthing of use like the new web site
is up and its of use to the community.
As I dont see why you post in here at all as I dont see a website NG.
