This just happened to me last night in my world. I had 2 visitors that were selecting objects. At first I thought maybe I had
rechecked the object selection box in the features. I looked this morning and the box was unchecked. Didn't even think about it anymore until I saw this post. I don't usually post here but I do have something to say. I have been in AW
since January 1996. I recently bought my own world and came here to learn and ask about object making. I never once asked any questions here. Why? I was intimidated by some of the posts made by Eep. I do read most of the posts here but after seeing some of the new people being attacked I decided not to bother posting. I just wonder how many others are out there who won't post here because of the intimidation. This is the "community" NG but it doesn't feel like a community when new people feel intimidated before they ever post the first post. [View Quote] > Your post brought up a thought. As bad as I hate doing web pages, I set up a small one on geocities with
a new chat forum. I did this because I enjoyed Xavarella's chat forum and was ticked when it was shut down. My page isnt the prettiest thing but like I said I hate doing web pages and I only did this one to have a url to hook the forum to. Here is the url and enjoy : ) http://www.geocities.com/ivie39/index.html Low vs High cit numbersJul 2, 2001, 7:35pm

I dont care EEP .. I dont need AW sounds.. I do need this software : )) needed it since 1996.. anything I have to give up is well worth it..
[View Quote] > Perhaps it needs to use DirectSound then since AW is most likely hogging the sound and Windows is too stupid to play sounds in multiple non-DirectSound apps... > [View Quote] It works : )))Aug 13, 2001, 1:16am

Try turning off AW sounds. That's the only way it will work for me.

I left AW in 1996 because of the many improves that eventually rendered
my computer inable to cope. I simply could keep buying thisngs to keep AW alive. I came back to AW in DEC 1998 and it did ok on my new computer. Sot I registered again and was given my "way old" cit number back. Things were good in AW until the 3.1 upgrade. I met all the requirements to run it but still had major graphics problems. Yea, I might have been able to sue, but I didnt care . I bought a new graphics card that cost 80$ just to see if it would fix the graphics bug.. Stupid me!!! I can't afford to keep jocarey or my cit.. I can keep my cit.. but its no good without my beloved world. Once one ones a world there is no going back to AW.. WE WORLD OWNERS LOVE OUR WORLDS!!! I think that the people that feel between March and DEC cutoff were at a disadvantage.. kind of puts us on the spot...... well I dont have the money.. And I'm kind of fraid of AW on this billing thing.. they billed us twice last time.. which cause a cascade effect at the bank.. ENDED UP COSTING 300 !! for anyone that doesnt understands. All our money is accounted for.. a double billing id like a nigthmare now on to nicer things:: to Daphne-- for beleiving in me to Kalis-- for always being there Diane-- thanks for all you do Jamey-- <<hugs>> cut off an effort to keep my worldFeb 14, 2002, 2:19am
I have decided to try and sell some of my objects to help pay for the
renewal of my world. I have never sold anything before LOL. I usually donate to CitBingo but I must do something to keep my world. So I am going out on a limb and hoping this will help. I don't have much right now because I never thought I would ever HAVE to sell anything. I just loved donating. Anyway you can see what I have in jocarey world at 12.3N 12.6W 0.0a 41 if anyone is interested in taking a look. I think these objects are quite unique. : ) Mr Potato guy is not for sale. He is there for moral support only : ) Oh yeah! Jocarey is on a dial up OP.. so expect a slow download.. sorry : ( Local teleports are enabled if you wish to teleport to the area instead of GZ. This is kind of funnyApr 19, 2002, 4:17pm
My world appears to be running fine from what I can see from the unix
machine. I on the other hand cannot connect to AW at all. Here's the funny part>> the world and I are on the same connection : ) This is kind of funnyApr 20, 2002, 1:06am
I saw what was mentioned before and the server stat page also. This had
come to the 24 hour point.. server stat page said after 24 hours email support. I should have I suppose but I posted here instead and I got my fix for the problem. So all is well here. And I didn't miss my bingo fix. And there is nothing more horrific to a object modeler than to have 10 objects made and can't log in to AW to see them in her world. I still don't know why I couldnt log in and it doesn't matter now. I'm in and I'm happy : ) [View Quote] Pat on the back award (free to all)Nov 3, 2002, 1:07am
I made this to award myself for things I have accomplished. I award
myself for finally finishing a hard build. For making that one object finally look right and works right. For having over 200 flower objects. For finally learning how to do those AW commands lol. For anything that I feel good about. For being able to see long enough to do any of this. We all need to reward ourselves and not depend on others to do it for us. We know in our hearts that we are good at what we do. So why dont we just give ourselves a "Pat on the back" and love ourselves. : ) to get this award for yourself go to jocarey 2.46S 2.01E 0.00a 266 |
