We need a new group

I think we should get a new newsgroup news.activeworlds.fightclub

If he never changed his priv pw,you could always renew his citizenship.One
would think it would become possible to use his privs after that,if AW still
have the old one listed in their computers.

Hiya,

There is a citizen which has expired so i cannot use his privs no more...

He hasnt logged in since 1996 either....Whats best way to sort this problem
because i need to make changes to a building we use under his citname.

Multiple avatars.dat

I have not been reading this newsgroup so often,so please excuse me if this
has been brought up before.As we now have 10 worlds and they are all running
on the same object path,but has a diffirent theme,I would hope activeworlds
would give the option to name the avatars.dat used.Just like the object path
now ,with its own field,if left blank it uses the the default path from
AW.One could have the "avatars.dat" to be downloaded as default,but there
should be an option to change it to for example "avatars1.dat" ,and it would
use a secondary avatars set-up in the world.

AW Products Are Screwed...

Do not know anything of that,but I bought a world with a good credit card
and my world expired a few weeks after it was bought.AW just decided to
"steal" my world name and refund what I had payed for the world.They did
never take in consideration that there was more involved to it than just the
world (upgarding to bigger server,buying a domain,getting custom objects).I
will take this matter to BBB and if needed I will have a lawyer looking into
this thing.

The site looked pretty ok in my browser(IE 5.0) ,once it had loaded.I have
noticed one thing in this newsgroup (probably in other also);people seems
never to have anything good to say about anything.I think one should at
least sometimes give some positive response,after all people who make their
webpages,objects,textures or whatever do it because they want to
contribute.I am sure that there would be a lot more activeworlds related
webpages "out there" if not every attempt was considered crap from the very
beginning.That do not motivate to develop the webpage.If one do not like a
site then one do not have to go there,it is not harder than that.

If he did not want a sexual oriented chat why did he had to ask if gays are
allowed? I mean what difference does it make if one is gay or hetero in a
G-rated chat?And no,beeing hetero is not all about sex,actually in my case
it is a total lack of sex (at the moment).

Also note what CYBORG has said through the entire convo. He =
continually expresses offensive comments, yet the GK's only go as far as =
warning him and CYBORG still doesn't stop. Obviously the GK's don't =
really care as much about offensive comments than they do about gay =
people.

warning for "being gay".

As you can see, I am deeply hurt by all this. The combined immaturity =
and the lack of respect for other people make your little GK "helping =
hand" program a disgrace. You should enforce better screenings, and =
mandatory monitoring of all GK and PK related activity. And violation =
should result to a punishment that equal to the guideline broken. If =
someone applies to be a GK or a PK, they should first become a Junior PK =
or GK or something of the same equivalency. They will be monitored and =
tested at random times without them knowing to see how they handle =
certain situations. Maybe you should even go as far as policing your own =
police. Right now you have the GKs and PKs policing the community, yet =
no one policing them. Setting up an internal or external affairs unit =

I just do not see the point ;is it really necessary for other people to =

I can see that.but I still do not understand why it is so important to =

As you can see, I am deeply hurt by all this. The combined =
immaturity and the lack of respect for other people make your little GK =
"helping hand" program a disgrace. You should enforce better screenings, =
and mandatory monitoring of all GK and PK related activity. And =
violation should result to a punishment that equal to the guideline =
broken. If someone applies to be a GK or a PK, they should first become =
a Junior PK or GK or something of the same equivalency. They will be =
monitored and tested at random times without them knowing to see how =
they handle certain situations. Maybe you should even go as far as =
policing your own police. Right now you have the GKs and PKs policing =
the community, yet no one policing them. Setting up an internal or =
external affairs unit would resolve all conflicts between GKs & PKs and =
the community. They should stop playing God, because there not good at =
it. Please do something...
