Hey Linn....I never got a reply regarding my post in Worldbuilders regarding
the textures for the AWMegaOY world objects. Are you representing that world or is Wiz? Or do you have a contact name of someone I could ask in world perhaps? Maybe my IE missed it or it was deleted? Huggggs:) Bit:) binarybudOct 1, 2003, 1:29pm
FYI i never called any post "unnecessary" In case you have not noticed mouthy this is a general discussion NG.
And if you had read that site you would have had a little diffeernt response....and if you HAVE read that site and still give this type of response then you my dear lady can blow your opinion right out your lame ass. [View Quote] wizard myrddinOct 1, 2003, 2:40pm
if you visit megapath (awmegaoy) We have provided a url to Tonycats very
good web site that has all megapath textures on. Its the BIG sign you see on entering the world. Lin never responded to the Newsgroup in case she was flammed as usual, therfore for these that used megapath the url is in there to use. [View Quote] alphabit phalphaOct 1, 2003, 3:20pm

The issue isn't seeing the textures, it's having to take the following steps to use an object in a world; 1.Find the object in AWMegaOY 2.Click on the object. 3.Download the object. 4.Unzip the object. 5.Search the object for texture names. 6.Go to AWMegaOY and find the link to Tony's URL. 7.Go to Tony's URL. 8.Find the textures you need. 9.Download the texture from Tony's URL. 10.Put it in your object path. 11.Put your object in your object path. What I'm suggesting is the following; 1.Find the object in AWMegaOY. 2.Click the object. 3. Download the object (with textures inserted). 4.Unzip the file. 5.Put the object in your models OP. 6.Put the textures in your textures OP. That way a person need take only 6 steps as opposed to 11. > > Lin never responded to the Newsgroup in case she was flammed as usual, > therfore for these that used megapath the url is in there to use. > Wiz, please don't try to pull my leg by saying that Linn didn't respond because she didn't want to be flamed:) If that were true she wouldn't have responded to Binary's post this morning in the manner in which she did?:) Thanks for the above information, but I personally don't see those steps as the most easiest for your customers. Just my humble opinion:) Bit:) linn ironhead@digitalpassage(dot)comOct 1, 2003, 4:41pm
FYI I didn't say YOU said it I KNOW what you called it same difference
im just so sorry to see that calling ppl ugly names and using your nasty mouth to make you feel like a BIG man well what can I say im NOT the only one in here that sees you do this over and over just gets a bit predictable and obnoxious if the shoe fits wear it!!! Are you genuinly surprised about that?
-- --Bowen-- http://bowen.homelinux.com/sys/ Yeah, it's that good. (Maybe an AW section in the near future?) binarybudOct 1, 2003, 6:19pm
ok I'll bite I called you nasty names because you deserved it period. as for your last post check out what you DID say in your reply to my informative post.
"sigh what was it you called unnecessary posts? oh yeah I remember...lol" Linn,... notice the word YOU in your sentence,.... that was referring to ME. Like I told you I said nothing of the kind. since when is calling a lame person lame being "nasty"? You obviously do not think your lame but most of your posts prove this out. Remember you attacked me on this. And I do not think any of this makes for a "big man". I actually think this crap you children dish out all the time is quite the waste of time. And yes I have lowered myself to this level because it's all your type understand...I, for one, will not sit idly by and let this happen. Oh your not a child huh? right....prove it. And NO I do not wear other peoples shoes,...... that's just nasty. And you can still blow your opinion out your ass. [View Quote] stecloudOct 1, 2003, 6:40pm
Er...are you on drugs? This is General Discussion - people can post what
they want if they think others will find it interesting. I don't agree with everything BB says sometimes - but I don't think this is a bandwidth wasting thread (well perhaps now these arguments have started it is). bowenOct 1, 2003, 7:08pm

So, um, how do you buy new shoes without trying them on first? -- --Bowen-- http://bowen.homelinux.com/sys/ Yeah, it's that good. (Maybe an AW section in the near future?) johnOct 1, 2003, 8:08pm

I was Talking to Linn and she beleave's there has been one out for a few
years now, Its name I think is texture lister, it is one of Ananas's programs named RWLsTX this performs the task of listing the textures used in a .cob or .rwx file so you can download them from megapath texture lists or see them on Tonycats web site. http://oct31.de/aw/ As to perform the task of creating many more files that contain the textures that may never be used can be seen as a waste of valuble time on everyones time. If you are desperate for textures for the megapath objects download this program. make a list, then download them at your ease. This might not get you used to seeing the files (rwx) but gets you used to working with them, hence increase your own knowledge. [View Quote] alphabit phalphaOct 1, 2003, 9:01pm

Hmmmmmm.... read the website and agree with all that is said. But got a
nasty visual of my boss and family's reaction to me taking the day off and not taking care of things as usual. ROFL!! My daughter would refuse to do her homework. My husband would want well earned time for himself. So would I. And my husband and I would get fired for taking off work to spend quality time on ourselves or our family. LOL. Some very valid observations brought up in the website however, about the emotional, mental and physical costs of "downsizing" that is going on in the states the past decade. It's affecting our families and our health. Mandatory overtime and longer shifts are becoming a way of life here in the states and its killing us and our relationships with each other. Marriages are falling apart because of it and kids are not getting the attention they need from their parents. But I did think of a question while reading that website. After reading all those valid points, why would ANYONE with a family want to spend time ONLINE to chat about not having enough time to spend with your family or yourself. Shouldn't you be doing something in RL instead????? Like spending real time on yourself or loved ones?? LOL. Just MY 2 cents worth. hahahaha. (cowers)> please don't flame me. ;-") [View Quote] alphabit phalphaOct 2, 2003, 1:55am

Hmmmmmm 0_0 Unless you wanna come up here to PA for a few days??? And I'll show ya some REAL fish!!! LOL ;-"D (and maybe some bear too hehehe ) [View Quote] alphabit phalphaOct 2, 2003, 2:32am
Well shoot...we were just up that way last month....could have met up:(
Hopefully you faired the weather ok with Isabel? [View Quote] lioness.Oct 2, 2003, 2:56am
I know ya were but you weren't in the eastern half of PA. And I didn't have
the money to travel to Boston. We were lucky thank God. Only had the wind (35mph sustained and gusts of 55 in places). The rain and most of the storm went to the west and south of us, although we were prepared for all the flooding and trees down, etc. Since we had recieved more rain than the ground could handle, the past month or two, the trees were easily uprooted and the creeks and rivers were already swollen. They even canceled school for us cus most of the kids here are bussed. There were scattered power outtages in this area from branches and trees falling, but nothing major. Round here we were preparing for something like what we got in 72 from Hurricane Agnes, but Isabel weakened a lot before it got to us and it moved through pretty quickly. However not too far to the west of Philly they had some major flooding just two days before the hurricane from all the rain, but thank goodness Isabel didnt' produce much rain for eastern PA. ;-"D [View Quote] brockOct 2, 2003, 10:54pm
