Certain worlds don't work on my 3.4 browser. // General Discussion

Certain worlds, no matter what graphics settings I try, cause my 3.4 browser
to freeze. Specifically, the worlds AWTeen and AWRPG. Instantly after
teleporting to those worlds, my browser stops responding, and I have to
close it via the task manager. I know someone else has had this problem as
well, and posted it in the NGs, but I couldn't find it, and I wasn't sure if
it was answered. Anyway, can anyone help me solve this problem?

What type of graphics card do you have in your system and what render
mode do you use in the browser settings? Have you tried clearing your
cache and doing a scan disk/chkdsk?

I also have this problem, only with the Gate. I have a matrox G-400 and I
run with Hardware T&L mode. If I use only DirectX9 without T&L I don't crash
at the Gate, but T&L is much better.

I have a radeon 9700 pro, and others that have the same card do not crash.
also note from the first post that I tried all the graphics settings, and I
have run scandisk all the time and no corrupted files were found. I will
try clearing my cache though. I do not think the issue is graphics, since
this problem occurs under *all* graphics settings, and in 3.3, it doesn't
crash at all.

hi Ferrucio,
first of all, be sure you are using the latest build (494).
second, maybe you are not crashing at all, the app is just too busy
downloading that it stops responding but if you wait long enough ( and that
could be loooong depending on your connection speed) , it will respond
again. This happened to me with some earlier build when i visited some
worlds with heavy downloads.

I hope this help,

I had the same problem with AWTeen, Ferr, except even after clearing my
cache the problem persisted. I had to reinstall over 3.4, and everything
started working again for some reason, lol

such a simple solution that people tend to neglect. 90% of the time, when
something technological doesen't work - the solution is to turn it off and
then turn it on again.

In the case of programs, reinstall :)
