It would be great if we could divide the world surface we buy into a bunch
of "sub-worlds". Let me explain :

Example : Let's say that I own a P-20/5users, which is 40 cells x 40 cells
so 1600 cells. I could divide my 1600 cells into 4 sub-worlds of 400 cells.
That way, I could create four different envirronments with 4 different world
features (physical features only, not 4 dif. object paths, obviously). So
the worlds owners would not be limited to only ONE theme for their world.

"What about the entry point ?"
-There would still be just ONE entry point, in a specific world, so the
world list is still the same.

"And regarding the number of users ?"
-Still 5 users in the whole world. It's not like buying 4 worlds. It's still
just one, but with more diversity.

And also, instead of buying a "P-X" world we could buy a certain amount of
cells.

Tell me if this idea make sense. If it's not clear enough, tell me so I can
re-explain it, my native langage is not enlglish.

It's a cool idea.

More flexibility in dishing out where your cells go in general would
be great.

Even if they don't go for letting you have multiple worlds listed,
maybe they could at least let you have disjoint areas within one
world to use your cell allotment. That would give you a lot more
possibilities, and spreading out your clumps of 'stuff' would give
you another way to combat lag.

So quit calling it a P-10 and call that a C-400 (400 cell world). As
soon as you build in a cell (other than macro terrain) it counts against
your tally. As soon as you destroy everything in a cell, you can now
use a cell somewhere else.

They could even get really clever with the billing and make it work
like a cell phone plan :-)

Hmmm.. it would actually be in fact a cell plan.

I like this idea of world sizes based on the number of cells total that can contain objects, rather than world boundaries. Perhaps an alternate pricing scheme could be designed to allow worlds to be sold in this way. This would work well with the recently added ability to set an entry point, since the world could then be split into little pockets of stuff with one of them acting as the world's entry point, and teleports linking them. This would also work well with the concept of building on islands in a huge ocean.

Development for this is already in-progress.

Cool idea, would love to do islands in a huge sea. Perhaps make it so
you can configure the C-400 to use the "traditional" square layout as an
option.

Mark said that it is already in-progress but I'll send this in the
suggestion box anyway. I posted that idea here just to know if people would
like it.

[View Quote] I doubt it being already in development, considering the community has
wanted other things far more... "desperately." Why they'd do something
the community isn't zealous about, is beyond me. But hey, it is AWI
we're talking about.

Having differnt world attributes in different sections is being developed,
but its currently limited to whatever the world is... Im all for having the
cell idea :)

Thanks a lot. This reply is just explained too well. I love when people tell
the others their idea sucks but do not say why or how to improve it.

Hey if you have nothing intelligent to say guys just shut up and return in
your AWteen newsgroups. If my Idea was that stupid I don't think it would be
asked to be fowarded to AWI. My english is bad and I try the best I can to
explain my ideas. I never attacked you in any circumstances and I've always
been the most friendly I could.

And BTW it's not my kinf to argue on theses newsgroups so I won't reply
again. C'mon grow up or please don't use these NGs.

[View Quote] I was joking, I really don't care either way. It's good for some
people, meanwhile, for others, it's not a very good thing. And I know
the first time through AWI is going to try and make it manditory (making
it not an option) or charge you extra for it (a stupid mistake).

If you are not going to make *any* positive contribution to this newsgroup
in any way... I really fail to see why you still have access here....
