I forgot to let you know, I'm also using a DLink DSL-302G Ethernet Modem
with the router, heres how it goes on the hardware side...
EtherNet Cord goes from back of PC into the Router.
Ethernet Cord goes from router into Ethernet Modem.
Thats the setup of the hardware in total.
I went into the Ethernet Modems admin and I can't see anything about
firewall, virtual servers etc... so I can't see what that would have to do
with anything. Just thought Id let you all know.,
Ethernet cord from back of PC goes into

Err ADSL modem, with ethernet cords? Then why do need a wireless router in between?
Try creating a NAT rule entry that redirects port 7777 through the modem.

I purchased an Ethernet Modem shortly before I got my laptop, then I got a
wireless router after I got the laptop, and just connected the router to the
ethernet modem .... works fine!

The Router does not have modem capabilities. It is just a wireless router,.
no DSL modem inside it, you connec the router to the modem. etc...

I still did not receive the required information but I tend to believe that XP's firewall is disabling the world server.
BTW - don't change the remote admin port - 8080 is just fine (80 doesn't work - I got a connection refused message)

oh I remember why it didn't work very well because if you change or add onto
your world on one computer the changes don't take effect on the other
computer because it is changed only in the other computers world files. so
if you change something in your world on 1 computer you have to do the same
changes in the other computer. but I suppose you can run two different
versions of your world depending on what computer you have running the world
server, and you have to have it to where the computer doesn't start world
server when windows starts because you cant administer or run world from two
different computers at the same time

I've always had a similar problem when attempting to host my own world...
except other people can enter the world, only I get the "looking for"
message.
I've always blamed it on my MSN by Qwest DSL modems though - both of which
have a NAT firewall installed that can only be turned off by flashing the
modems to their original manufacturer's firmware (something I don't care to
mess around with).
Not sure if it's the problem but this NAT firewall has plagued MSN customers
for a long time. I know it can't be my wireless (linksys) router because
I've had the same problem since before I used a router. :)

Your problem (when only YOU can not enter to your world) is a definite bug in the NAT router - it does not support "loopback" : request from LAN to LAN by using the WAN address.
Some routers you can enable it.

Several examples and some hints there,
Andras

After some long testing it turned out Ry's ISP uses another NAT router between the internet and Ry's connection which uses the 10.x.x.x subnet which is not routeable :(
Let's hope the ISP will provide a better IP address or forwards the port 7777 to you.
Thank you for your patience!

Follow Up:
We did some more checking and we learned that the ADSL modem did the actual NAT translation but it had no options to do port forwarding.
Unfortunately the modem's user manual did not even mentioned this feature:(
Switching the modem to a Bridge mode, Ry and other visitors are able to enter to his world!
Lesson learned :)
