best way to resolve this is for the average cit that gets tired of GKs
behavior is to hang out at the AW GZ then maybe it will become more popular
for grownups to come and not have to worry about power tripy GKs. That is
one reason why I hardly ever go there anymore, and according to a post by
tru2me2 us cits cant help people anyway. Besides that is what the gate is
for isn't it?, is for newbies to come and check it out and i dont see any
reason why a cit that has been here awhile would want to hang out where most
of the time there are nothing but rude tourists or power tripy GKs.

Hey now I think that would be a great idea, some place with a few less rules
but still fun and then people can meet and chat all they want without the
fear of stepping across any boundaries. Plus it would free up gate to the
newbies and allow them a better chance at learning things the right way
without all the extra help some citizens think they are giving. Thanks Bit

I you ask a GK why they do what they do it is always because they like to
help people, or at least that is what they say, I wonder how many Gks would
still be GKs if they took all the perks like 50% off AW purchases and
citizen extensions and make Gking Completely voluntary with no perks ( I
wonder how many would stick around). There should be a board in the gate
telling what gatekeeper is suppose to be on duty for all to see witch ones
don't show up for their shift and I think if they do not show up for their
shift after certain amount of days should have their cit extensions revoked
and have to pay to renew it, because after all that is what they get that
perk for and they should be doing what they get those perks for

OK good for you. So since you have been around for such a long time why did
they have to implement these perks? was it to recruit more people or what. I
applaud you because at least you volunteered to be one before they even had
the perks but I wonder what would happen if they stopped doing the perks and
made all of the volunteers pay for their cits like everyone else does.

you are wrong you do get something and that is the 25% off and the cit
extensions. and me as a citizen have to put up with the same people you do
and i have helped newbies and get them started on the basic building
techniques without the perks that you have. You being nitpicky as to
complain about someones typo i dont know weather that is a good trait for a
teacher to have is it?

i also have witnessed numerouse times where the job wasnt getting done
because the GK that was suppose to be there wasnt there. Your refrence to
the receptionist, i dont think i would tell them that because most
receptionists do get paid.

if you red my letters in this group I never said anything at all about PKs
or them being power hungry but I do think from what I have experienced at
the gate and from what I have read in here about GKs that SOME of them are.
MY only question was is that I wonder if they didn't have the perks if any
of them would stay if their extensions were revoked and they had to pay for
AW like the rest of us

it is good because they are community volunteers look it up in the
dictionary. It is also good because if the people that actually want to help
people do not need to be compensated for it like numerous cits that do the
same thing without the perks and eject privs

introduced me to AW and both of us are ham radio operators, and he said he
will drop buy here while he is out here visiting his parents but I haven't
seen him yet and I am not sure weather I should show him all this stuff,

what a T/G is and I do know one thing the O next to his name will probably
be removed, I will tell him as gently as possible but he probably wont trust
hardly anyone in here any more except for his best of friends, I don't think
as far as being rejected is a new thing to him but it is very hard to tell
what will happen. The biggest thing is that EP should have told him about
this before putting the O on that was the utmost deception and, yes I think
it was a fact that EP was probably just using FF as power trip to her/his
own means of having a power trip.
