you think $6.95 for a cit is too much? (Community)
you think $6.95 for a cit is too much? // Community

Just posting here over the continued complaints over the price of "a"
citizenship.
I just took inventory of the citizenships I own and pay for a month, I
presently own these citizenships or support them, they are
343714,347517,347619,347539,347592,348548,348500,348828,347476,347520,347633
,348037 and 347475. These cits total at $6.95 a month a total of $83.40! With
the recent problems with A!!CT renewal, we lost some of our world cits when
the world was reopened at a smaller size, thus to keep those cits active now
the following cits are added to the monthly fees. 337820,345144 and 346172
adding $20.85 more to the monthly exspense, totaling $104.25 a MONTH! So for
those who complain about a modest $110.00 a year for a citizenship, just
think I pay out about that much a month totaling $1,251.00 a year.
Its my decision to do this, but I just wanted some of you to realize there
people out here paying a whole lot more.
PS yes I do plan to downsize this cit loan thing sad to say so I can
concentrate on upgrading my world.

dont tell people not to complain because you chose to own those cits and
those worlds. if its your choice to have 300 worlds and cits so be it, dont
try to tell people 'hey you dont have it as hard as me'. some people cant
afford that much for a game

As you stated, some people can't afford that much for a game. Well, I would like very much to be able to try some of the new on-line games, but wouldn't be able to reasonably afford an average boxed game that only has to be paid for once, let along a game that you have to keep on paying for... and Active Worlds isn't a game. If it was, I would leave it today... because I come to Active Worlds for what I can contribute to it, not for any entertainment value I hope to get out of it.
If I want to play a game, I'll play one of the free games I've got stored on my older computer system or one of the out-dated games I already have paid for a long time ago back when I "could" afford it... and I haven't played any of those in quite a while.
I like video games... but to me Active Worlds is the start of something much more important. I don't think Active Worlds Inc. is charging too much, but I also do wish they would charge less. It's their right to set the price they think is best, and it's very sad that so many good people can't afford it. These are just facts. At least they do still offer "some" stuff free, which is in my opinion rather generous of them... but I would be happy to see more of it. :)

Well, just tourist usage and trial worlds as far as I can think of at the moment... but that's still better than nothing.
