Hi,
Had this problem ever since getting wireless in my house...
Basically, ill be surfing on my laptop wirelessly happy about 11 meters away
from the router, and every maybe 20 minutes ill be surfing and a webpage
will time out, and outlook express times out while send/recv mail.
the little popup window comes up in the corner and says 'default is now
connected' .... and then its ok for another while...
It's annoying because everything on the laptop signs off (msn, aim etc...)
and it interupts me while surfing.
Also, the world server thats on the PC with the router, gets stuffed up too,
i dont know why because its not on the laptop so it should, but anyway, it
never restarts itself, i always get 'World already running' for about 2
minutes after the laptop does this, and then it will Run normally.
The computer with the DLink Wireless DI-524 Router is always fine, always
connected with no timeout stuff.
I know the router isn't too far from the laptop as its just 11 metres or so
most of the time. and its always on a desk.
Anyway,
ANY HELP would be loved.
Cheers,
Ry.
Nov 29, 2005, 2:10am
The Router is quiet new, less than a year old...
I usually find that if I leave the laptop 'idle' this dosen't happen but
when I'm on AW or surfing it happens, the amount of data being transferred
also affects sometimes.

Just letting everyone know, I went out and purchased a NetGear Wireless
Router, and everything is running smoothly. I will be sending the DLink back
to base for a Refund.
Obviously, what Andras said above is what is happening... I quote her
here.......
"The reason I asked it because recently I had to fix 3 DLink routers power
supply.
All 3 showed the same error: when transferred more than 20-30 kb (large
email, file transfer), it reseted itself. My first thought was the power
supply and replacing that helped for a short time.
The actual bug was an electric capacitor which seemed to lose its ability
over time (drying out) inside the router. Those routers were 2 years old and
of course out of warranty :(
If you have the knowledge and tools, you can check the router's internal 3.3
rail, if it is stable or not (with an oscilloscope), or just return it if it
is still under warranty."
Thanks for all the help all, and Andras what would I do without you :D

PS: There has been some confusion as to if you can Renew at HALF Price is
your citizen ship isn't due for a renewal.
I have confirmed with AWI that you can renew at half price and it will add
on. Example, if you just renewed for $69.95, you can renew again at the half
price and thus your citizenship will not need to be renewed for another two
(2) years.
However you must have been a citizen before 2002.

I have Paint Shop Pro 7, and thought I'd check out Jasc as it's been years

There website includes NO INFORMATION on Paint Shop Pro 9, either, which I
