I wish a situation could be fully investigated before awi takes the word of
"the in group" before bannings of major worldpaths are initiated. banningsJul 2, 2006, 7:56am
I guess it's a growing list. Sad too considering theres an awful lot of
really good people out there being ostracized. Sad when a mob mentality ruins what used to be a really good game. And Sad that corporate has been relegated as their "hitmen". banningsJul 2, 2006, 3:06pm

Ostracism (Greek ??????????? ostrakismos) was a procedure under the Athenian democracy in which a prominent citizen could be expelled from the city-state of Athens for ten years. While some instances clearly expressed popular anger at the victim, ostracism was often used pre-emptively. It was used as a way of defusing a major confrontations between rival politicians (by removing one of them from the scene), neutralising someone thought to be a threat to the state, or exiling a potential tyrant. Crucially, ostracism had no relation to the processes of justice. There was no charge or defence, and the exile was not in fact a penalty; it was simply a command from the Athenian people that one of their member be gone for ten years. The procedure is to be distinguished from the modern use of the term, which generally refers to informal modes of exclusion from a group through shunning. cy bonerJun 30, 2006, 6:38am
You're right on target Goshenta.. but dontcha know it is forbidden to post
any messages casting the cy people in the slightest negative light. Even if they got it comming. Too many times I've seen the Cy mafia do serious harm to good people. OOPS! maybe I should fit myself for concrete shoes just fer sayin that? cy bonerJun 30, 2006, 1:56pm
Thus the freedom of speech act meets an untimely end. Or atleast senses of
humor. sweets & The CYsJun 26, 2006, 2:54pm

"but guess you are right....I am not in the 'popular' crowd....I am only a
builder *smiles" I never did get the old highschool cliques.. the condesending tone alone turned my stomach. Question for sweetsJun 26, 2006, 2:56pm
It's truly amazing how a simple giggle about a typo can escalate to a full
blown flame war shame on you people Who is this Immigration Officer anyhow?Jul 8, 2006, 12:37pm

> did you not realize that their organizers were not the only people who > read this newsgroup? Ohh I see.. only the cy awards organizers are the only ones allowed to engage in vendettas. and you're quite right.. the organizers aren't the only ones reading.. the cy vendetta victims read them too. And this has what to do with sweet's situation? Or the "My Award"?
.. .. .. Since you brought it up tho .... Karten filled me in on the Cy's involvment and subsequent actions. That part was something I discovered upon my return from visiting my friend. MY AwardJul 8, 2006, 10:12am
update: Got off the phone last nite with my friend.. I'd like to retract
what I've said bout the Cys since both Tuna and my friend tell me there was no incident at Cy world. I got this info originally from Karten who kept sayin "ask tunablues and he'll tell you tooooooo!" and I doo believe a whammy been pulled on me that way. Again my apologies to the cy peeps. (hey.. atleast I got the cajones to come in and admit when I've been mistaken, which is more than I can say for a lot of folks in here.) I'm still mad as a wet hen bout my friend getting his OP and cit getting unjustly banned, but that's another issue entirely. last ntieJul 6, 2006, 8:48pm
An observation... I noticed Chrispeg didn't deny teleportin the poor guy
all over aw? last ntieJul 6, 2006, 10:04pm
Nope.. just a mention of a blocked bot... no denial he teleported the poor
guy all over alphaworld. Chris said: "Duskbat's hidden bot at Alphaworld GZ has been blocked to enter the world now. Thanks, Chris Activeworlds Inc. 95 Parker Street Newburyport, MA 01950 Telephone: (978) 499-0222 Facsimile: (978) 499-0221" InSaNiTyJul 16, 2006, 9:56am
I met up with him about a month ago in Colorado right after this all went
down. My husband and I both think he's the kindest guy you'd ever wanna meet. For Activeworlds to do what they did was horribly cruel. I'd taken a hiatus from activeworlds and the prime reason for my return was to give moral support for the guy. If they decide to ban me for this, trust me.. it's no biggie. I'm hardly impressed with Activeworlds in and of itself. Too bad corporate forgot what activeworlds was really about and got arrogant. [View Quote] InSaNiTyJul 16, 2006, 11:39am
Oh.. and as a side note... posts to and from him have also been deleted from
the newgroups... wonder what Activeworlds is afraid of? InSaNiTyJul 16, 2006, 7:37pm
It wasn't him that went crazy.. he simply complained about something and
Activeworlds got petty and vindictive. He's not Activeworlds only victim either. InSaNiTyJul 17, 2006, 9:37am
The TOS you typed out pretty much contradicts what Activeworlds advertises
on their website, which touts fabulous tech support, upgrades, and all kinds of bells and whistles... and I can't seem to find the TOS anywhere on my puter... their website.. etc... perhaps I overlooked it. Regardless it's deceptive business practaces to say you get all this plus a bag o' chips then slip that under the door when nobody's lookin. btw.. I wonder if after 9 am today I'll be able to even log in considering I'm posting in support of my good friend Insanity. InSaNiTyJul 17, 2006, 2:11pm
Regardless, it's in the pervue of the court system now.. and I for one am
rooting for my friend. btw.. what does scientology have to do with any of this? or was that simply a cheap shot? InSaNiTyJul 17, 2006, 3:16pm
(reposting.. hit reply to sender instead of reply to group by booboo..LOL)
still don't see what you are referring to, with the scientology crack... ohh.. I have no intention of renewing, why support a company any further than I have to simply see them do these kind of things to good people? AW's on it's decline anyway, and I am more interested in seeing justice done. [View Quote] [AW Reunion 2007] Where To Next?Jul 25, 2006, 9:50pm
I vote DENVER!
I was just there last June. Up in the mountains hands down is the most beautiful terrain I've ever seen in my life. [View Quote] [AW Reunion 2007] Where To Next?Jul 28, 2006, 6:13pm
The place I went thru for lodging up in Estes Park Colorado.. (70 miles nw
of Denver) was a rental management company called Ponderosa Realty and Management. They have MANY choices all over that area. Our rental ran us $650 for the whole week for the condo we stayed in.. They also have a couple HUGE places that can house up to 20 people. If anyone wants to toy with that idea of having it up in the mountains here's their website: http://www.ponderosainc.com/ Heres also a page to one of their BIG places: http://www.ponderosainc.com/park_entrance_lodge.html It's located right near Rocky Mountain National Park, and has beautiful views of Long's Peak and the Continental Divide. Weekly rental for that place in particular $2600 for 1 to 20 guests. It has 8 bedrooms (king, 5 queens, 2 twins, 4 twins) and three bathrooms. That may sound a lil pricey but split up between the attendees and you get a full week at the place for next to nothin. The place comes with bedding, towels etc.. all you'd need to supply would be the food and yerselves. [View Quote] [AW Reunion 2007] Where To Next?Jul 28, 2006, 10:57pm
